The culmination of your Week 6 NFL Picks lies with the Sunday Money-Making play provided by pro capper, Ross Benjamin, Inside!

 Cleveland Browns vs Tennessee Titans

Tennessee (2-3) will host Cleveland (0-5) on Sunday. The opening kickoff at Nissan Stadium in Nashville is slated for 1:00 PM ET. These non-division opponents have actually played against one another in each of the past 2 seasons. Cleveland won on both occasions, 29-28 at home in 2014, and last year’s 28-14 victory on the road.

Two Embattled Franchises

Cleveland has gone 3-23 over its last 26 games overall. The Browns are also a horrible 1-13 during their previous 14 road contests.

Tennessee is 6-30 during their previous 36 contests. Additionally, the Titans are an abysmal 1-13 over its past 14 home games.

Browns Quarterback Doldrums

The Cleveland Browns have already lost their top two quarterbacks (Robert Griffin III, Josh McCown) to shoulder injuries. Last Sunday they were forced to start rookie Cody Kessler (USC) under center for a second consecutive game. Unfortunately, Kessler sustained a first quarter chest injury that sidelined him for the remainder of that contest. Nevertheless, Kessler is listed as probable for this week’s game.

Making matters even worse, newly acquired veteran signal caller Charlie Whitehurst sustained a knee injury while playing in relief of Kessler this past Sunday against New England, and he’s presently listed as questionable. The Browns do have a viable emergency quarterback in wide receiver Terrell Pryor. He was a starting quarterback for 3 seasons at Ohio State before transitioning to wide receiver in his senior year.

NFL Odds, Betting Angle & Pick

At the time of this writing (10/9), NFL betting odds at BetOnline shows Tennessee as an early 6.5-point favorite in this contest. BetOnline is widely considered to be one of the best sportsbooks on many fronts.

Tennessee is coming off a 30-17 win at Miami this past Sunday. The Browns were trounced 33-13 at home by New England in their previous contest. The combination of those two results sets up a never lost betting angle that’s aced the test of time. I’ll certainly utilize this additional handicapping tool when making one of my NFL week 6 picks.

Any non-division home favorite of 4.0 to 9.5 (Tennessee), coming off a win in which they scored 30 points or more, versus an opponent (Cleveland) coming off a non-division loss in which they scored 14 points or less, resulted in those home favorites going 15-0 ATS (73.1%) since 2002. The average margin of victory in those contests was a sizable 20.5 points per game.
