In this high-scoring season I decided to go 'over' on all three of the highest totals in Week 16. Only hit on Eagles-Redskins, which barely went 'over' 50. Missed on Falcons-Saints (total 56) and Colts-Cowboys (55). Here are the Pinnacle highest Week 17 NFL odds totals.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants Ttotal 53 at Sportsbooks)
This game means absolutely nothing. That really could mean two things. One, the defenses aren't intense and it's a high-scoring game. Or the offenses are not very focused and sloppy. New York has won three straight games, averaging 32.3 points in that stretch. It may have saved Coach Tom Coughlin's job. This franchise looked lost until Odell Beckham Jr. started going haywire. He's all but a lock for Rookie of the Year honors and has three straight games with at least 130 yards and a touchdown. Amazing how one star player can change the whole outlook for a franchise. I expect the Eagles to be totally flat after losing in Washington last week and being eliminated from the playoffs when Dallas won. It was Philly's third straight loss. Maybe Mark Sanchez isn't the answer. He has been putting up nice yardage but has 10 interceptions since taking over for Nick Foles. In Week 6 in Philly, the Eagles beat New York 27-0 covering the NFL odds. Beckham hadn't broken out yet as it was just his second game of the season. He had a season-low 28 yards on two catches. Eli Manning threw for only 151 yards and was sacked six times. Foles was still healthy then. Weather forecast is high 40s with a 50 percent chance of rain.

Free NFL Picks: 'Over.' I'm going with the theory that the defenses will go half-speed. The over is 4-0 in the Eagles' past four vs. teams with a losing record. It is also 4-1 in New York's past five vs. teams with a winning record.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins (Total 49 on NFL odds)
For the most part, this game is meaningless, but Cowboys coach Jason Garrett says his starters will go. Technically the Cowboys have a shot at the No. 1 seed in the NFC, but they need a win and Seattle to lose at home to St. Louis (not happening) and Arizona to lose at San Francisco (very possible). Or the Cowboys would get it if the Lions and Packers tie regardless of what the Seahawks do, but a tie has a miniscule chance of happening. So essentially Dallas is locked into the No. 3 seed. Thus don't be shocked if Tony Romo and DeMarco Murray, both nursing major injuries, are pulled after a few series. Obviously that would hugely affect the Cowboys offense. Dallas needs to worry more about next week's playoff game than an unlikely first-round bye. Robert Griffin III  is expected to start again for Washington despite a sprained right shoulder. Washington hasn't scored more than 27 points in a game since Week 3. The Skins had 20 in a surprising overtime win at Dallas in Week 8 when Colt McCoy started at QB. Romo left that game for a bit with a back injury that he still is playing through. Forecast is for temperatures around and 50 percent chance of rain.

Free NFL Picks: 'Under.' It has hit in the past four meetings and in four of Washington's past five overall at home.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (Total 47.5 in NFL betting)
The final game of the 2014 regular season Sunday night is  great matchup as the AFC North title is on the line. Cincinnati looks to repeat as division champion for the first time since 1981-82, the latter year a strike-shortened campaign. The Steelers haven't won the North since 2010, which is the last time they made the playoffs. The winner here will be the No. 3 seed in the AFC and likely host either San Diego (with a win in Kansas City) or Baltimore (win and Chargers loss) next weekend. The loser drops to No. 5 and heads to Indianapolis. Pittsburgh is in the midst of the greatest offensive season in team history. It is just seven  points from breaking the team record for points and ranks No. 2 in total offense -- it will shatter the team record for yards and first downs. Ben Roethlisberger leads the AFC in passing yards, Le'Veon Bell leads the conference in rushing and Antonio Brown tops the NFL in receiving and catches. Big Ben is just 26 yards behind Drew Brees to win his first passing title. All three of those guys are Pro Bowlers. The Steelers have been held under 24 points just once at home. The Bengals offense apparently will have star receiver A.J. Green. He was held without a catch on Monday night after hurting his arm. He did finally practice on Thursday. Pittsburgh won 42-21 in Cincinnati in Week 14, scoring 25 points in the fourth quarter. Roethlisberger threw for 350 and three TDs, Bell had 185 yards rushing and two TDs along with 50 yards receiving and another score, and Brown had 117 yards on nine catches. When making your NFL picks this week keep in mind that this is the best offensive trio in the NFL right  now, folks.

Free NFL Picks: 'Over.' The weather looks OK, temperatures around 30 and partly cloudy at kickoff. The 'over' is 7-1 in Pittsburgh's past seven vs. teams with a winning record. It is 6-1 in Steelers home games this year.
