Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens head to MetLife Stadium on Sunday afternoon for a big inter-conference game for both sides who come in with losing streaks. Let’s toss it all in the pot and see what kind of NFL pick we come up with.

Baltimore Ravens vs N.Y. Giants

The Baltimore Ravens (3-2 SU, 2-2-1 ATS, 94 PS-88 PA) head to East Rutherford and MetLife Stadium to face Eli Manning and the New York Giants (2-3 SU, 1-4 ATS, 89 PS-108 PA) Sunday for NFL Week 6. Offshore sportsbooks have New York 2½- (5Dimes) to 3-point (BetOnline) favorites with the total at 43½ (BetOnline). The money line for this inter-conference matchup has the Giants at -150 with underdog Baltimore +130 (5Dimes).

Baltimore Ravens

Joe Flacco (37-31-5 ATS Road)  and the Ravens, now 66/1 to win Super Bowl at BetOnline—where new sign-ups receive 50% Free Play—have only scored 43 points in the 2nd Half, so thoughts Baltimore would be solid on offense are evaporating and hobbled (Ankle) veteran Steve Smith and the Ravens will probably be calling on K Justin Tucker more than they want the rest of this season.

Even with Terrance West and Justin Forsett, the Blackbirds only have 3 Rushing TDs—and Flacco has two of them—and WRs Mike Wallace and Breshad Perriman and TE Dennis Pitta have caught just 3 TD passes (all Wallace), so whatever perceived improvements over last year’s version may have been a mirage and a loss here would put a team which was not so long ago one of the NFL’s five undefeated, suddenly at 3-3. This is a game Baltimore can’t afford to lose, thanks to home setbacks to the Raiders and Redskins—games Ravens fans and backers probably counted on winning.

 New York Giants

After getting the Head Coach he wanted (Ben McAdoo), Giants QB Eli Manning (42-53-2 ATS Home) appears to be just as much of a liability to the G-Men and the Defense just hasn’t created turnovers (-7, Tied #29 in NFL). New York heads in on a 3-game Losing Streak, although it must be noted the Giants were at Minnesota and Green Bay—two of the hardest places to visit in the NFL—and NY played better than the results showed.

 Trends, Betting Approach & Picks

The Ravens are 4-1 ATS the L5 meetings in this series and longer-term trends show the Over 4-1, but these teams don’t play much so better to use the site and situation over any trends. 2nd Halves in Ravens games have had 16 points or less four times (3, 13, 16, 35, 10) so keep that in mind but the best approach here is taking Big Blue on the money line as the Giants can’t afford to be 2-4 with their NFC East counterpart Cowboys (4-1), Eagles (3-1) and Redskins (3-2) all off to great starts.
