Miami wasn't spectacular in week 1, but they did get the job done. Jacksonville has further to go after a loss to Carolina, and they'll look to bring their A-game for week 2 betting.

Opening Odds & Line Movement
-6 -105 at Pinnacle
The NFL odds opened at -6 and has slid to -5.5 and it might be for the simple fact that Miami didn't look that great against a poor Washington team in Week 1. It's not that the Jags looked great against Carolina but they did have more yards than the Panthers (265-263), and if not for the turnovers and a 1-for-3 clip in the red zone, which is probably a different game. But don't be surprised if the line moves back up to -6 for the Dolphins as bettors might need to see a little more from Jacksonville.

Tight end Dion Sims and tackle Jason Fox are probably going to miss this game due to concussion symptoms, and if you had to pick one of them to play, it would be Fox, who at least practiced on Thursday. Miami managed to get through the first week without any major injuries and that can be a win in itself, when you look at a few other teams.

The Jags have a few more worries as tight end Julius Thomas is still out because of his hand, while receivers Allen Robinson (knee), Marqise Lee (hamstring) and Rashad Greene (back) are all in question, although Robinson is the most likely to play. Rookie back T.J. Yeldon will play through a knee knock, but left tackle Luke Joeckel is still out with a bad ankle.

The Dolphins have failed to cover in five of their last six games, and in their last five on the road, Miami is 2-3 SU and ATS, which is the same record that Jacksonville as in their last five games at home. However, overall in their last six games, the Jaguars are 4-2 ATS.

Miami have dominated the Jaguars recently, going 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five meetings, but they Jags fare a little better at home, where they're 2-3 SU and ATS. In Jacksonville, the Dolphins and Jaguars have gone under the posted total in their last three meetings.
