The Saskatchewan Roughriders will try and tighten things up in the West Division title race when they square-off against the British Columbia Lions this Friday night.

The game is set to get underway at 10 p.m. ET at BC Place, and it will be broadcast in Canada on TSN. Who should we favor in our Week 15 CFL sports betting?

Saskatchewan Overview

The Roughriders were running away with the CFL’s West Division with eight straight-up victories in their first nine games, but a current four-game losing streak has dropped them to 8-5 SU and three games in back of Calgary in the division title race. Saskatchewan has failed to cover the spread in any of the four losses and it is now 6-7 ATS on the year. The total has stayed ‘Under’ in three of the four games.

The one glaring difference between the team was was winning almost every week and the one that is currently mired in this skid is the ability to put points on the board. Saskatchewan averaged well over 30 points in its first nine games, but it has only managed to put up an average of 19 points in its last four outings. Darian Durant is still ranked second in the CFL in passing yards with 3,361 and first in touchdown throws with 27, but in this past Sunday’s 17-12 loss to Montreal he completed just 52.2 percent of his 46 attempts and was picked-off three times.

BC Overview

BC remains just one game in back of Calgary for the top spot in the West after three straight victories both SU and ATS. One of those wins came against Saskatchewan in Week 13 by the score of 24-22 as a six-point road underdog. The Lions are 9-4 SU (7-6 ATS) overall including a perfect 6-0 SU (4-2 ATS) record at home. The total stayed ‘Under’ in four of those six home games.

Thomas DeMarco has taken over the signal-calling duties for an injured Travis Lulay the past two weeks and has done a better than expected job in relief. Last Friday night in a 53-17 romp over Winnipeg he completed 15-of-21 attempts for 170 yards and one touchdown. He did an excellent job at spreading the ball around with seven different players catching at least two passes in that game. The Lions’ defense also came up big and it has now allowed an average of just 17.7 points in its last three games.

Saskatchewan vs. BC Free CFL Pick

It is hard to believe that a team that was playing as good as Saskatchewan was earlier in the season could lose its last four games as a favorite. Unfortunately for Roughriders’ fans this streak is going to reach five games come this Friday night. They are playing in one of the toughest places to get a win and their current form does not dictate this matchup staying close enough for Saskatchewan to cover. The free CFL pick for this contest is BC minus the 3.5 points.
