Hamilton Overview

Hamilton has battled its way back into the East Division title race with a 4-1 straight-up record in its last five games to improve to 5-5 SU on the year. It has covered against the spread in all five of those games after failing to cover in its first five contests. The total has gone OVER in four of its last five games.

There was never a doubt that the Tiger-Cats could move the ball through the air behind Henry Burris. He currently leads the CFL in passing yards this season with 3,181 on 341 attempts which adds up to a very healthy 67.4 completion percentage. He has also tossed 18 touchdowns, which is tied for second-most in the league. Hamilton has also tightened things up on defense by holding opponents to an average of 23.8 points a game in its last five outings, which is an improvement on a season-average of 27.7 points a game.

Calgary claimed a share of the West Division lead with last Friday’s 22-12 victory over Edmonton as a three-point road favorite. It is now 8-2 SU on the year and a profitable 7-3 ATS. The total has stayed UNDER in three of its last four games but it has gone OVER in six of 10 games this season.

Bo Levi Mitchell once again got the start for the Stampeders last week and completed 19-of-26 attempts for 175 yards and a score. Calgary also got another big effort from a defense that is ranked second in the league in points allowed.
