There are just four games on the NHL betting card on Wednesday with the New York Rangers-Detroit Red Wings matchup being the highlight of the night. Let’s take a look at that game and two others.

<p style="text-align:center;"><iframe allowfullscreen frameborder="0" height="330" src="https://www.sportsbookreview.com/video/embed/?videoId=25407" width="560"></iframe></p> <p><strong>Ottawa Senators vs. Winnipeg Jets</strong><br /> NHL Odds: Jets -160<br /> The Ottawa Senators are a machine right now, which is why it’s surprising to see them as such a big <a href="https://www.sportsbookreview.com/betting-odds/nhl-hockey/" target="_blank" title="Shop for the best NHL Odds on offer right now">NHL odds</a> dog on the road in Winnipeg on Wednesday. The Sens had won five straight entering Tuesday night’s action while Andrew Hammond had allowed just five goals in the process. We’ll have to see if he gets the start on back-to-back nights as started Tuesday’s game against the Minnesota Wild.</p> <p>The Jets, on the other hand, will be rested but they’ve dropped three of their last five games. And given the line here, it’s asking a lot of them to lay -160 considering they might not be that much of a better team than Ottawa these days.</p> <p>If Hammond’s in net, I like the Sens chances but even if he’s not, I still think they’ll be in this one. I’ll take a flier on the Sens.</p> <p><strong>NHL Pick: </strong>Sens +154 at <a href="https://www.sportsbookreview.com/Sportsbook/?v=809&amp;book=inarticle5dimes" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" title="Visit 5Dimes Sportsbook today!">5Dimes</a></p> <p><iframe allowtransparency="true" border="0" frameborder="no" height="140px" id="iframe-odds-widget-2036869707517426" name="iframe-odds-widget-2036869707517426" scrolling="no" src="http://js.sbrfeeds.com/index.php/article?iframeid=iframe-odds-widget-2036869707517426&amp;timezone=16&amp;theme=article&amp;line-type=spreadntotals.type=whole-game&amp;odds-type=US&amp;books=19,43,227,1096,999996,93,238,123,139&amp;trackers=1409845611531.xml&amp;event-id=306076" style="width:642px;border:medium none;overflow:hidden;"></iframe></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>New York Rangers vs. Detroit Red Wings</strong><br /> NHL Odds: Red Wings -130<br /> The <a href="https://www.sportsbookreview.com/picks/nhl/nhl-picks-2015-stanley-cup-futures-update/53605/" target="_blank" title="There's good value found with Rangers as Stanley Cup pick">Rangers are playing some of their best hockey of the season right now</a> as they’ve won nine of 11 while averaging 3.9 goals per game. However, the Red Wings are also playing pretty well as they’ve won four of six, which includes a win in Nashville, which is not typically something that’s easy to do. The Red Wings have actually done quite well in this series, winning seven of the last eight meetings between the sides.</p> <p>This is a really tough game to handicap given how both teams are playing right now, so I’ll go over the number. The Rangers offense has been clicking but their goaltending has been a bit frail. Although Cam Talbot gave up just one goal in his latest outing, he had given up three or more in nine of the previous 11 games. Take over with your NHL picks.</p> <p><strong>NHL Pick: </strong>Over 5.5 at The Greek</p> <p><iframe allowtransparency="true" border="0" frameborder="no" height="140px" id="iframe-odds-widget-2036869707517426" name="iframe-odds-widget-2036869707517426" scrolling="no" src="http://js.sbrfeeds.com/index.php/article?iframeid=iframe-odds-widget-2036869707517426&amp;timezone=16&amp;theme=article&amp;line-type=spreadntotals.type=whole-game&amp;odds-type=US&amp;books=19,43,227,1096,999996,93,238,123,139&amp;trackers=1409845611531.xml&amp;event-id=306077" style="width:642px;border:medium none;overflow:hidden;"></iframe></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Colorado Avalanche</strong><br /> NHL<strong> </strong>Odds: Penguins -140<br /> The Pittsburgh Penguins have regained their swagger as they’ve now won four straight games. Their offense, previously dormant, has finally woken up as they’ve totaled 18 goals in their last four outings. Next up is a visit to the Colorado Avalanche, who have lost two of three. They’ve had some issues in net recently as goaltender Semyon Varlamov has allowed at least three goals in each of his last four outings while giving up a total of 15. The 3.15 goals per game that the Avs gave up in March was the fourth-worst number in the NHL.</p> <p>I’m going to place my <a href="https://www.sportsbookreview.com/picks/nhl/" target="_blank" title="Free NHL Picks &amp; Hockey Predictions">NHL Pick</a> over in this one as the Avs have been playing a number of high-scoring games courtesy of Varlamov. Their average combined score in February was 5.77 and with the Pens offense clicking, we’re likely to see another high-scoring affair in this one.</p> <p><strong>NHL Pick: </strong>Over 5.5 at Bodog</p> <p><iframe allowtransparency="true" border="0" frameborder="no" height="140px" id="iframe-odds-widget-2036869707517426" name="iframe-odds-widget-2036869707517426" scrolling="no" src="http://js.sbrfeeds.com/index.php/article?iframeid=iframe-odds-widget-2036869707517426&amp;timezone=16&amp;theme=article&amp;line-type=spreadntotals.type=whole-game&amp;odds-type=US&amp;books=19,43,227,1096,999996,93,238,123,139&amp;trackers=1409845611531.xml&amp;event-id=306079" style="width:642px;border:medium none;overflow:hidden;"></iframe></p>
