Bengals vs Steelers Preview

It has certainly not been a favorable start to the 2022 season for the defending AFC champions. The Cincinnati Bengals are currently 5-4 and second in the AFC North behind the Baltimore Ravens. The Cincinnati offense took a huge blow when they lost their star wide receiver, Ja’Marr Chase, in Week 7 against the Atlanta Falcons. They are 3-3 in the games since his injury and have lacked the offensive explosiveness that defined them last season. Defensively, they are holding their own boasting the league’s fifth-best passing defense allowing just 205.2 passing yards per game.

Pittsburgh is full steam into the Kenny Pickett era. The rookie quarterback won a game he started for the first time in his young career last week against the New Orleans Saints. The Steelers started the 2022 season on a high note with a win against the Bengals. However, four straight losses prompted the removal of Mitch Trubisky from under center. Coupled with a disappointing sophomore season from Najee Harris, Pittsburgh is just hoping to salvage a decent season.

The Steelers snapped a three-game losing streak to the Bengals, upsetting Cincinnati 23-20 in Week 1.
