Packers-Redskins Showdown on SNF at RFK Stadium Should Become Aerial Shootout, is backing the host Redskins and the Over the best approach in this primetime NFC affair? Here's our NFL PIck.

Green Bay Packers vs. Washington Redskins

Green Bay Packers at Washington Redskins (NBC, 8:30 p.m. EST): The Green Bay Packers (4-5 SU, 4-4-1 ATS, 223 PS-234 PA) head to RFK Stadium in Washington, DC Sunday night to face the Redskins (5-3-1 SU, 6-3 ATS, 212 PS-209 PA). Sportsbooks have Washington -2½ to 3-point favorites with the Total from 48½ to 50. On the Moneyline, the Redskins are -138 with Green Bay +125. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook opened up the Redskins as 1½-point favorites in its Week 11 Advanced Line while its 2016 NFL Games of the Year, the Packers (L3) opened up 2½-point favorites, so you can see how much perceptions have changed in six months.

SNF Trends Since 1990, Series Trends, Side and Totals Trends

The SNF Trends in this rematch of last year’s NFC Wild Card game at RFK won by Green Bay, 35-18 (WASH -1½, 47) show the Packers to be 10-6 ATS on the Road and 11-9 ATS as Road Underdogs with Washington just 5-11 ATS as a Home Favorite.

The Packers (+200 to win NFC North, BetOnline) are an impressive 8-1-1 ATS the L10 in this series but the Kirk Cousins (4-2 ATS Home 2016) and the Redskins (14/1 to win NFC East, BetOnline) are a better team than those years. The Over is 7-0 the L7 Washington Home games and 13-3 its L16 on Grass and 14-5 the L19 Packers games against the NFC.

Packers vs. Redskins Picks and Final Thoughts; Cheeseheads Come in a Bit Moldy

The Packers (1-6 L7 November) have problems and need the Week 11 Win here but despite the pleasant words from Aaron Rodgers (36-30 ATS Road), there’ve been issues between he and HC McCarthy (104-75-5 ATS) and the Cheeseheads QB and signal-caller chirping about his team’s Enthusiasm seems justified. On the gridiron, the OL has been a liability and at RB—where Eddie Lacy is on the I-R and WR Ty Montgomery even has 24 rushes—Green Bay is so thin it signed Christine Michael (Seahawks) after trying (and bailing on) Knile Davis (Chiefs) earlier.

So expecting heavy doses of Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Davante Adams seems logical but the Packers Offense (24.8 ppg) is going against Josh Norman and a Redskins D (23.2 ppg) which hasn’t allowed a 2nd Half TD in any of their 5 Wins.

With Washington 6-1 ATS L7 overall and the Over 7-2, taking the Redskins—chasing Dallas and NYG—on the Moneyline as well as the Over versus a devolving Packers Defense (26.0 ppg) seems smart with DeSean Jackson and Vernon Davis likely to be a big part of the Redskins Offense along with Jamison Crowder, Pierre Garçon and Jordan Reed.
