The Green Bay Packers take an 8-game winning streak to Atlanta to face the Falcons in the last game ever at the Georgia Dome on Sunday in a showdown getting much attention because of its’ lofty betting total number. And with every Falcons Home game going Over the Total this season, hanging a 60 seems perfect.

NFC Championship Game - Green Bay Packers vs Atlanta Falcons

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are in Atlanta on Sunday for the last game at the Georgia Dome (FieldTurf Classic HD) against Matt Ryan and the Falcons (12-5 SU, 11-6 ATS) in the NFC Championship. Atlanta is currently 4- to 5-point favorites at offshores Thursday with a record-high total from 60 to 61½. The money line sees the Falcons -200 with the Packers +185. The 1st Half odds have Atlanta 3-point chalks with the 1st Half total at 31.

Green Bay Packers

QB Rodgers has been near-perfect for Green Bay but he’s had to be with the Packers ranking #21 in scoring defense (24.3 ppg) and dealing with Injuries to WRs Nelson (Ribs) and Adams (Ankle), LT Bakhtiari (Knee), CB Rollins (Neck) and S Burnett (Quad) on top of being without RB Lacy and CB Shields, forcing HC Mike McCarthy to work with what he’s had—something he’s done effectively as this beat-up squad has W8 straight after sitting at 4-6 after Week 11.

The Packers (+8 TO) have played 6 straight Overs and Green Bay is 5-0 ATS L5 Playoff games and in January and 7-1 ATS L8 Playoff Road contests. The Over is 6-0 L6 Packers against NFC and Following SU Win and 4-1 ATS L5 NFC Championship games. The Cheeseheads are 1-6 ATS L7 after Allowing 30+ Points Previous Game.

Atlanta Falcons

Every game in the Georgia Dome has gone Over the Total (9-0) with an average of 60.9 ppg, and with an indoor friendly playing surface, a climate-controlled building, and two Pass-happy QBs it’s hard to imagine this not being a score-fest. And Atlanta has dynamic duos at RB (Freeman-Coleman) and WR (Jones-Sanu) and had the highest-scoring offense (33.8 ppg) scoring the 8th-highest number of points in NFL history.

Expecting Many Points Very Logical

Even with the Packers hobbled, remember the Falcons rank #27 in scoring defense (25.4 ppg) meaning the offenses should dictate this game. When these two teams met here in the regular season, the Falcons won 33-32 (ATL -3, 51) with the QBs combining for 7 TD Passes.

With much Public money expected to still come in on the Over, if you like the Over, bet now but if you like the Under, wait for 62 (or more). This could have 34-40 points by Halftime and it’s important to think about could and should happen in the game itself and not be consumed by the actual Totals number.
