The 2015 CFL Grey Cup Playoffs get underway this Sunday with a pair of divisional semifinal matchups and I am looking to stay on a roll. After digging deep into both matchups, I am more than confident that this week’s picks will hit as well.

Using the sports odds as released by BetOnline, both of these games present a golden opportunity to continue to build the bankroll with a pair of picks that come together perfectly to form another solid CFL parlay play.

Toronto Argonauts vs. Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Game Overview
The Argonauts were able to snap a three-game skid both straight-up and against the spread in their 21-11 victory against Winnipeg in their regular season finale. It was just their fourth SU win over their last 10 games after opening the season with a 6-2 SU run (5-3 ATS). Three losses this season came at the hands of Hamilton by a combined margin of 54 points, but that was when the Tiger-Cats were playing at a very high level.

The loss of quarterback Zach Collaros has had a major impact on Hamilton’s fortunes down the stretch of the regular season. It is coming off back-to-back losses to East Division Champion Ottawa both SU and ATS. Over the course of the Tiger-Cats last seven games, they are just 2-5 both SU and ATS with a scoring average of 19.7 points. They have gone with Jeff Mathews, Jacory Harris and Jeremiah Masoli at quarterback, but none of the three have had all that much success moving this offense.

Game Betting Trends
The Argonauts have covered ATS in nine of their last 13 road games and the total has stayed UNDER in four of their last six games on the road.

The Tiger-Cats are just 2-4 ATS in their last six home games and the total has stayed UNDER in their last five games played at home.

Head-to-head in this East Division matchup, Hamilton has gone 6-1 SU in its last seven home games against Toronto and it holds a 4-2 edge ATS in the last six home games against their rivals.

Game Prediction
Neither of these teams come into the playoffs in great shape, but I do see this as a golden opportunity to take the two points and take the Argonauts in a SU upset. The Tiger-Cats are lost without Collaros under center and it is going to cost them with an early exit from the postseason.

CFL Pick: Toronto +2

British Columbia Lions vs. Calgary Stampeders

Game Overview
These two West Division rivals met in the final week of the regular season and BC came up well short as a one-point home underdog in a 28-7 loss. This followed a 35-23 loss to Calgary on Sept. 18 as a 13-point underdog on the road. That loss was part of a SU 3-6 mark over the Lions final nine games of the season. They have still remained a solid bet during this slide with a 6-3 record ATS. The other positive is the return of quarterback Travis Lulay. This past Saturday against the Stampeders, he completed 14-of-20 attempts for 181 yards.

Calgary is in solid form to begin the defense of last season’s Grey Cup title with a SU 6-1 record in its last seven games. While the Stampeders have not been the best bet this season with a 7-11 record ATS, they have now managed to cover in four of their last five games. Look for a heavy dose of Bo Levi Mitchell throwing the ball to Eric Rogers in this division semifinal. Mitchell was ranked second in the CFL in total passing yards (4,551) and Rogers led the way in receiving yards with 1,448.

Game Betting Trends
The Lions have lost eight of their last 11 road games SU, but they have covered ATS in their last five games on the road. The total has gone OVER in four of their last six road games.

The Stampeders have won 10 of their last 11 games at home SU, but they have failed to cover ATS in seven of their last 10 home games. The total has stayed UNDER in seven of those 10 contests.

Calgary has won four of the last five meetings SU and it comes into this semifinal showdown with a 4-2 edge ATS in its last six home games against BC. The total has gone OVER in five of those six games.

Game Prediction
Calgary has dominated this series in the recent past and there is no reason to think that it will not dominate this game come Sunday. This is the time of the year where the cream starts rising to the top and the gap in talent between these two teams remains extremely wide. Lay the 8.5-points at home and take the Stampeders to cover in the back-end of this playoff parlay.

CFL Pick: Calgary -9
