Chicago sports radio & TV legend David Kaplan has joined Sportsbook Review and was 1-4 on his football picks last week. Here are Uncle Kappy's Fab Five for NFL Week 12 & NCAA Week 13.

Kaplan season record: 31-26-1

Well, the train that was rolling so smoothly jumped the tracks last week as I went 1-4! I did also pick the Seahawks to cover vs. Green Bay, but because the column gets published on Thursdays we didn't include that game in my write up.

This week we have a ton of action including, three Thanksgiving Day games in the NFL and a tremendous slate of college football on Friday and Saturday. I have one game that I have been targeting for a while and I am making that my second-best play of the season. Have a great Thanksgiving! Here we go with this week's selections!

No. 16 Washington (+2.5) at No. 8 Washington State

WSU is a really good team and they are very explosive through the air, but I think Washington is better and I fully expect the Huskies to slow down Washington State and not only cover this small line but to win the game fairly comfortably. Washington has a very good defense, and if WSU can't pass effectively they can't win. Take the points as Washington wins this game but a TD or more. This is my No. 2 play of the entire football season. No. 1 was Bears -7 over Jets, which was an easy Week 8 winner.

Nebraska at Iowa (-9)

The Hawkeyes are playing great football, while this has been a rough year for Nebraska – which won’t play in a bowl game and concludes its season. Iowa has won three straight in this series and is 12-3 in its last 15 trophy games overall (winner gets Heroes Trophy here). Lay the points.

San Jose State at Fresno State (-31)

Fresno State is a on another level, and while San Jose State has some talent and they have nothing to play for so I expect Fresno to score early and often and to roll to a resounding win. Lay the 31.

New York Giants (+6.5) at Philadelphia Eagles

The Giants have the two best skill position players on the field in Saquon Barkley and Odell Beckham Jr., and the Eagles are coming off of an outright massacre at the hands of the best team in the NFL, the New Orleans Saints. I think this game will be close, and given the intensity of the rivalry I would not be shocked to see the Giants win the game outright. I am taking the points.

Pittsburgh Steelers (-3) at Denver Broncos

The Broncos are a very good defensive team, but they are not a good overall club. They should hang around because their defense is very good, but I don't believe that Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown will struggle two weeks in a row. Last week the Steelers needed a furious fourth-quarter comeback to pull out a win in Jacksonville. This week I think they win without the drama, but buy down to -2.5.

Kaplan hosts a daily radio show in Chicago on ESPN 1000 (WMVP-AM) from 9 a.m. to noon local time and a daily TV show on NBC Sports Chicago at 6 p.m. He hosts Cubs pregame and postgame shows on the same network.
