Chicago sports radio & TV legend David Kaplan has joined Sportsbook Review and was 5-0 on his football picks last week. Here are Uncle Kappy's Fab Five for NFL Week 9 & NCAA Week 10.

We had a great weekend last week when we posted a 5-0 mark with our picks here at SBR. Now can we run our streak to 10-0? This week looks tougher to me than a week ago, but there are some games that have some value and a couple of games that I find intriguing.

Louisiana Tech +23 1/2 at No. 21 Mississippi State

I went against Mississippi State vs. Texas A&M (not among these SBR picks), and they made me pay for doubting them when they covered the spread and drilled the Aggies. However, I see this line as being too high when you consider that Louisiana Tech can score and this could be a flat spot for Mississippi State. Tech has scored 29 or more points in 5 of their 8 games this season, and that has me on the Bulldogs. Take the points.

No. 1 Alabama -14 at No. 4 LSU

The Crimson Tide are simply an awesome football team and now that they have a superstar at quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa, I don't see anyone in college football beating them. Can they beat themselves? Maybe but I don't see that happening here. Lay the points and watch greatness dominate in a very hostile environment.

Southern Mississippi +3 vs Marshall

The way to beat Southern Mississippi is by throwing the football rather than running it, and Marshall is not a great team through the air. Southern Miss is at home and they are getting anywhere between 3 and 3 1/2. I would buy the half point up and take the Golden Eagles.

Chicago Bears -9 1/2 at Buffalo Bills

Chicago has been very good to us this season, covering in 4 of their 7 games, and this week they go to Buffalo, where their offense will be tested by the Bills excellent defense. However, the Bears have one of the NFL's best defenses and Buffalo is starting Nathan Peterman at quarterback with both Josh Allen and Derek Anderson out with injuries.

I believe the Bears’ advantage on defense against the Buffalo offense is far superior to the Bills’ defense vs the Chicago offense, even though the game is being played in Buffalo, which is one of the NFL's tougher places to visit. Add in the woeful Bills offense on a short week and the upward trend Chicago is on and I have to ride with the Bears to win by more than 10.

Cleveland Browns +9 vs Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs have been playing a very tough schedule over the past several weeks, and their offense led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been outstanding. The Browns, on the other hand, have had chaos in their organization that led to them firing their head coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley this week. Chaos means this line is too high, but I will take a chance on the Browns at home plus the points. Don't be surprised if this game goes right down to the final whistle. The line is between 8 1/2 and 9 and I will take the points and watch this one with interest.

Bonus Play: LA Chargers +1 at Seattle

Kaplan hosts a daily radio show in Chicago on ESPN 1000 (WMVP-AM) from 9 a.m. to noon local time and a daily TV show on NBC Sports Chicago at 6 p.m. He hosts Cubs pregame and postgame shows on the same network.
