After splitting a pair of NFL Prop Picks for Week 3 on Sunday thanks to one big bomb by Aaron Rodgers late in the game, here we are on Monday Night Football with one more shot at some profit for Week 2. With the Cowboys heading into play the Cardinals, look at this NFL prop from Bovada for some extra value.
The Cowboys' future Hall of Fame tight end is an ageless wonder. I don’t know how he keeps doing it, but when he gets on the field he makes linebackers 10 years younger than him look like they don’t belong in the NFL. Witten is coming off 10 catches on 13 target day in Week 2 against a tough Broncos defense, which made him the leader among tight ends in targets and receptions through two weeks of the season.
Now against the Cardinals, a team that has allowed 11 catches for 108 yards to opposing tight ends through the first two weeks of the season, and we have another opportunity from Witten to cash the over on this prop. I sincerely doubt he gets another 13 targets, but much like his first two games, I would not be surprised to see him targeted nine or 10 times. The Cardinals are coming off allowing 9 catches for 99 yards against the Colts’ tight ends, and as much as I like Jack Doyle, he is no Witten across the middle.
The Arizona defenders will be keyed in on Ezekiel Elliott and Dez Bryant, so Witten may be allowed some leeway in this game. If that’s the case, Dak Prescott will have no trouble getting him the ball. Witten has served as Prescott’s safety blanket for the first two games, and he has been rewarded with a touchdown in each of them. I see another 6 or 7 catch game for the Cowboys’ tight end, so add the over to this prop for your Monday Night Football bets.Free NFL Pick: Over 5 (-115)Best Line Offered: Bovada
