Ross Benjamin has gone an outstanding 23-14-2 ATS (62.2%) with all his sports betting tips at SBR over the past 2 calendar weeks. Today he shares two very early leans for college football week 5.

Toledo vs. BYU
Toledo literally flies into Provo, Utah under the radar. The Rockets are off to a 3-0 SU&ATS start and has won by an average of 32.7 points per game. They’ll also have the luxury of playing on 12 days of rest. Toledo is averaging 42.7 point and 564.0 yards per game. The Rockets have gone 15-2 over their previous 17 games and covered on 14 of those occasions.

BYU has played a killer schedule thus far. The Cougars have already faced Arizona, Utah, UCLA, and a had week 4 contest with West Virginia in Landover, Maryland. Now with just 5-days of rest, and traveling back across 2 time zones, BYU returns home to play a team from outside the “Power 5 Conferences” for the first time this season. Following Friday’s contest is a trip to East Lansing to play nationally ranked Michigan State.

BYU has seen each of its first 4 games be decided by 3 points or less, and they’ve lost their last 3 contests. The combination of their early season grind, lack of rest, and facing a vastly underrated opponent, combines to make BYU very vulnerable to an upset. Nevertheless, I’ll take the points as an additional bonus for one of my college football week 5 picks.

Florida vs. Vanderbilt
Florida is coming off an emotional game against arch-rival Tennessee and now has to face SEC weakling Vanderbilt on the road. I wouldn’t be shocked to see the Gators flatter than a pancake, and especially so after squandering a 21-0 lead in their week 4 loss at Tennessee. Next up for the Gators is a home date with perennial SEC power LSU. By the way, Florida narrowly escaped with a 9-7 win as a 20.5-point home favorite against Vanderbilt last season.

Vanderbilt is coming off a 31-30 win at Western Kentucky last week, and in doing so, revenge last season’s home loss to the Hilltoppers. This will unequivocally be a more emotional game for the Commodores than Florida.

Any college football underdog playing in a conference game, coming off an away underdog SU win while playing with revenge, versus an opponent coming off an away underdog ATS loss, resulted in those home underdog going 6-0 SU and ATS.
