Chicago is 3-5 & coming off a big road win at San Diego. St. Louis sits at 4-4 after a tough overtime loss in Minnesota, and this game suddenly has some playoff implications.

Opening Odds & Line Movement
Open: -8 -105 at Pinnacle
The NFL odds for this game opened up at -8 for the Rams at home, but they’ve now moved down to -7.5 as the Bears have been impressive just as many had written them off. Chicago has won three of their last five SU and their two losses were by three points each, and they should have won both of those as well. The Rams had a two-game winning streak halted, but they're going to give Jay Cutler all he can handle and more as St. Louis has the fifth-ranked defense in the league in yards allowed, and they're sixth in points allowed. Chicago also has the 24th-ranked defense in the NFL on the ground, and Rams' RB Todd Gurley is looking to bounce back from a tough game against the Vikings.

The Bears got a boost as RB Matt Forte returned to practice, albeit in a limited role, and it'll be interesting to see if they get him back in the lineup. Forte has missed one game and received an injection in his knee to speed up the healing process, but the Bears have to be careful that they don't rush him back. Elsewhere, WR Jalen Saunders and G Tayo Fabuluje have been suspended for drug-policy violations.

The Rams have their own issues as RB Trey Watts was suspended last week, and WR Stedman Bailey joins him on the suspension list as well. DE Robert Quinn missed last week's game with a knee injury and the Rams are awaiting his status as well. St. Louis also signed WR Wes Welker to a contract, and he hasn't played since last season. He has well-known concussion problems, and both the NFL and NFLPA will be watching him.

The Bears have covered the spread in four of their last five games, and they're also 4-1 ATS in their last five on the road. The Rams are 4-4 ATS this season overall, but they've covered in three of their four home games. The total is set at 42.5, and the Rams have gone under six times this season; the Bears, five times.

The two have split their last 10 meetings overall, with the Bears covering six times. In St. Louis, the Rams are 4-3 SU in seven meetings with the Bears, who have covered four times.
