The new CFL regular season steamrolls its way into Week 4 with a huge matchup of unbeaten teams right out of the gate on Thursday’s night. After breaking down all four matchups on this week’s slate, the following is this week’s CFL Two-Team Parlay based on betting odds from BetOnline.

Game 1: Edmonton Eskimos vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Free CFL Pick by Pointspread: Winnipeg -2.5
Free CFL Pick by Total Line: 55

Betting Preview
The Eskimos’ surprising 3-0 straight-up (2-1 against the spread) start has been fueled by the combination of quarterback Mike Reilly to slotback Adarius Bowman and has affected their betting odds. These two have connected 21 times for 284 yards and four touchdowns. Reilly is ranked third in the league in passing with 738 total yards while completing 67.6 percent of his throws. It also helps that Edmonton’s defense is allowing an average of just 18.3 points a game.

Winnipeg’s 3-0 start both SU and ATS has matched its win total from last season, so it is already playing with house money. Drew Willy is off to a great start at quarterback with 871 yards passing and five touchdown throws and the Blue Bombers have racked-up a league-high 115 points in their three wins. They have also gotten a solid performance from Nic Grigsby on the ground with 218 yards and three scores on 41 carries.

Betting Trends
The Eskimos are 6-1 ATS in their last seven road games, but just 2-6 ATS in their last eight games played on a Thursday. The total has gone 'over' in 12 of their last 16 games on the road.

The Blue Bombers are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games at home and 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 games against the West Division. The total has gone 'over' in eight of their last 11 home games.

Winnipeg moved over to the West Division this season with the addition of Ottawa to the CFL and it comes into this matchup with a 4-1 record ATS in the last five meetings at home. The total has also stayed 'under' in 11 of the last 16 meetings at Investors Group Field. The home team in this series is 9-1 SU at home in the last 10 meetings.

Betting Prediction
The total may have stayed 'under' in the majority of the previous meetings in Winnipeg, but I am bucking the trends in this matchup when preparing my football picks. These two offensive juggernauts bear little resemblance to last year’s squads which sets-up the perfect opportunity to go with the 'over' this time around despite the rather lofty 55-point line.

Game 2: Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs. Calgary Stampeders
Free CFL Pick by Pointspread: Calgary -9.5
Free CFL Pick by Total Line: 49

Betting Preview
The Tiger-Cats are coming off an early bye after a disappointing 0-2 start SU (1-1 ATS). They did cover as 4.5-point road underdogs in a 28-24 loss to Edmonton in Week 2, but this followed a 31-10 drubbing on opening day against Saskatchewan as 3.5-point underdogs on the road. This Friday’s matchup wraps-up a brutal three-game road trip through the West Division. However to avoid the 0-3 start, Hamilton will need a big night from either Jeremiah Masoli or Dan LeFavour with quarterback Zach Collaros ruled out of this game with a lingering head injury.

Calgary has looked sharp on both sides of the ball in its 2-0 start both SU and ATS. Behind quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell, it has averaged 31.5 points a game while the Stampeders’ defense has allowed a total of just 23 points in victories over Montreal in Week 1 and Toronto in Week 3. Mitchell led the way in Calgary’s 34-15 romp over the Argonauts as a two-point road favorites this past Saturday with 267 yards passing and four touchdown throws. The one injury concern is running back Jon Cornish, who remains questionable due to the effects of a previous blow to the head.

Betting Trends
The Tiger-Cats are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games, but just 1-4 ATS in their last five games following an ATS win. The total has stayed 'under' six of their last eight games on the road.

The Stampeders are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games at home and 23-9-2 ATS in their last 34 games against a team with a SU losing record. The total has stayed 'under' in four of their last five home games.

This series is tied 2-2 ATS in the last four meetings but Calgary holds the 4-0 edge SU. The home team in this matchup has gone 7-3 SU in the last 10 meetings and the total has stayed 'under' in three of the last four games between these two.

Betting Prediction
Hamilton is still trying to find the form that carried it all the way to last season’s Grey Cup title game and, with some major question marks at the quarterback position, I do not see the Tiger-Cats turning things around on the road this week even with the extra rest. I am going with Calgary to stay hot by covering the 9.5 points in the back-end of this week’s CFL parlay sports pick.
