Miami Dolphins look to bounce back at the expense of the Arizona Cardinals in week 14. Can the Dolphins come through as the small home chalk? We weigh in with our week 14 NFL picks.

  Arizona Cardinals vs Miami Dolphins

Point Spread Value

Miami Dolphins suffered their first crushing loss in seven weeks. A crushing 38-6 loss saw a six-game winning streak snapped in Baltimore last Sunday. Nevertheless, the Dolphins are 7-5-0 SU and 6-5-1 ATS on the season. In better shape than their upcoming opponents the Cardinals, who are a woeful 5-6-1 SU and 4-8-0 ATS on the season. Although the Cardinals are coming off a win over the Redskins, they don’t strike a convincing pose for week 14 NFL picks thanks to a bleak 1-4 SU record on the road. As such, the Dolphins quite rightly emerge as the nominal home chalk across sports betting platforms, a market outlook underscored by a solid 5-1-0 SU record at home that includes a 3-2-1 ATS mark highlighted by a 3.7 winning margin and +1.5 differential versus the spread.

The Survivor

This is a matchup of two teams essentially going nowhere this season. For either to make the playoffs a lot would have to go their way, much of which isn’t in their hands. The Dolphins did lose badly last week but a return to Hard Rock Stadium where they are a solid 5-1-0 SU could be just the salve they need to bounce back.

Total Picks

The Dolphins’ offense went MIA last week, no ifs or buts about it. However, they do boast an 8-4-0 OVER record for the season and they’re not best pleased about putting up a measly six points last Sunday. It’s quite likely a one-off bad day in the office. The Cardinals have been mediocre this term and only bring a 6-6-0 OVER record, largely down to the inconsistent play of Carson Palmer and the Cards O-line. That said the last three Arizona games cracked the OVER, all going well over 40 points as well.
