Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers started off NFL Week 5 with a bang as they destroyed Minnesota and now it's time to continue the football fun. What better way with an entire slate of games and some winning value plays on this first Sunday in October?

New York Jets (1-3) vs. San Diego Chargers (3-1)
Rex's job will be on the line this season and with a tough schedule ahead, the New York Jets need to start winning some football games. They face a San Diego Chargers that had a huge win over Seattle this season and Keanan Allen is back in the lineup and coming off of a monster week against the Jaguars. With all of that said, I'm not sold on the Chargers. I don't think Phillip Rivers will ever be a Super Bowl Champion.

The Chargers feature a volume runner in Donald Brown and when I say volume runner, this guy could run 40 times a game if he had to. The problem is that he averages a mere 2.0 yards per carry. The Jets on the other hand don't really have a number one running back but between Chris Johnson and Christopher Ivory, they have plenty of production, can bleed the clock, and prevent Rivers from getting on the field. Rivers will be pressured by the Jets defensive line and I don't see this as a good matchup for S.D. Take the Jets and the points in a must win game for New York for your Week 5 NFL Picks.

NFL Pick: Jets +6

Arizona Cardinals (3-0) vs. Denver Broncos (2-1)
The Arizona Cardinals have been finding ways to win ball games for the past two years, but today they meet their match in a rested Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos coming off the bye week. If you all remember, Denver lost to Seattle two weeks ago, but in my mind it was a moral victory for the Broncos who made a huge comeback and made last season's Super Bowl a memory. The Broncos loss the coin toss in overtime and never saw the football as they lost to Seattle.

This is a Broncos team with a much better defense, however, I do think that they're not as good with the departure of Knowshon Moreno. Montee Ball might have been a stud in college, but this is the pros. Denver will be looking to rely on the passing game and that means a lot of Welker, Julius Thomas and Demariyus Thomas. The Cardinals are without Carson Palmer and that's a big loss. One problem that Arizona has is their inability to get Larry Fitzgerald the football. To compete with Denver's passing game, the Cards must find a way to get Fitzgerald involved in the offense.

NFL Pick: Denver -7.5 at 5Dimes

Pittsburgh Steelers (2-2) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-3)
The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off of a game that they had won against the lowly Tampa Bay Buccaneers and due to poor time management and the heroics of Mike Glennon, the Steelers basically crapped away an excellent chance to get to 3-1 on the season. This is a team with one of the best go to guys at each major offensive position in Ben Rothelisberger, LeVeon Bell, and Antonio Brown. Big Ben has two major players to work with and that's basically all that he needs with a little LaGarette Blount sprinkled in with the key guys. This is a powerful offensive team that will either come out angry or stunned; I say angry. Pick Pittsburgh on the road against a teams with inconsistent gunslinger in Chad Henne at the quarterback position.

NFL Pick: Pittsburgh -6 -105

Kansas City Chiefs (2-2) vs. San Francisco 49'ers (2-2)
This is the case of two teams that are much better than their records indicate. Kansas City is coming off of the biggest beating of the Belichick regime as they destroyed New England and Tom Brady on Monday night 41-14. Alex Smith showed the NFL that he is for real and Jamaal Charles looks to be at full force again. Smith must now face the team that gave him away while basically injured and started Colin Kaepernick in his place. I smell revenge written all over this game and with Charles, Bowe, and Davis as weapons, Alex Smith is in a great spot against a 49'ers team that has gotten off to a slow start this season.

I see no reason to go further. K.C. layed a positive impression on me Monday while San Francisco looks like a confused football team.

NFL Pick: Kansas City +4.5
