We are already at NFL Week 6 and the question still remains, are the Cowboys legit? Let's take a look at the Sunday NFL slate and provide the betting public with our NFL Picks of the Day.

Sunday Night FootballIndianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans

What Has Happened To the Colts?

When Andrew Luck entered the NFL, the Indianapolis Colts and the rest of the NFL were praising him as his team went 12-4 and the Colts were thankful for their decision to cut ties with Peyton Manning. A few years later, this team has regressed.

Their porous defense hasn't helped as the Colts managed to get by the Chicago Bears last week, 29-23 en route to their 2nd win of the season. The Colts defense has allowed more than 20 points in each of their first 5 games this season and more than 30 points in each of their 3 losses. That's not going to win many games despite the pure talent of Andrew Luck and his ability to connect with his favorite receiver, T.Y. Hilton.

A Draft Gem

T.Y. Hilton is truly a special find as he's a 3rd round pick in the 2012 draft out of Florida International. Nobody could've expected the production that the Colts have received out of Hilton as he's amassed 4920 yards and 27 TD's in his short career.

After a bout with the drops last season, Hilton has come back strong this season as he's been Luck's go-to guy. He's coming off of a monster 10 reception for 171-yard performance which also produced a TD and a victory over the Bears. The Colts will need to rely on Hilton as their defense simply isn't good enough to stop the opposition on a regular basis and every game is going to be competitive and a fight to the finish. 2-4 and 3-3 are a big difference. Tonight's game is very important for the Indianapolis Colts as they hit the road for Texas.

The Osweiler Project

It really has been a project for quarterback Brock Osweiler as he found success in Denver and has had mixed results with Houston. Osweiler has plenty of talent on his side in the form of Lamar Miller (371 yards) and rookie receiver Will Fuller (327 yards, 2 TD's), but Osweiler has lacked accuracy (58 %) and has forced the ball at times (6 TD's, 7 INT"s) and turnovers are a killer. I don't expect Osweiler to get better overnight. The Texans will need to rely on their defense and in a game against the Colts, their offense should get plenty of opportunities. Expect a shootout in this game.
