Denver Broncos vs Cincinnati Bengals
The betting markets appear to be asleep with an under-the-radar factor in Sunday’s game between Denver and Cincinnati. The Bengals offense is snapping the football at a much faster pace than last season as they have increased their tempo on offense quite a bit in the first two games of the season and the betting markets haven’t taken notice. Cincinnati is also averaging 6.6 yards per play and showing a desire to get the football down the field in the passing game with QB Andy Dalton and his top three targets at WR A.J. Green, Brandon LaFell and Tyler Boyd. Denver’s defense is very fierce but their pass rush will be mitigated to some extent with the injury absence of DeMarcus Ware who is out for at least the next few weeks with a broken forearm.

The Cincinnati offensive pace may have a chance to wear down the Broncos pass rush as the game progresses especially with the forecast calling for warm temperatures at game time on Sunday. Denver QB Trevor Siemian is making his first road start of the season and that always causes for concern but the Broncos should be able to move the football on the ground with RB C.J. Anderson as the Bengals have allowed 124 and 152 yards rushing against the Jets and Steelers in their first two games. If Denver can successfully run the football which I expect them to do, their offense should be able to have a solid day and keep Siemian in manageable down and distance situations.

It’s worth noting that Denver’s two games have reached 41 and 54 points scored while Cincinnati had 45 points in their first game against the NY Jets and although their game against Pittsburgh had just 40 points, the weather conditions were terrible in that game which won’t be the case here. I expect enough points to cash an Over ticket here at a very low number and I’ll make it my NFL Pick for the Week 3 Play Of The Week.
