The NFL Preseason enters week 3 and on the menu is the clash between the Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens. Check out our NFL betting preview and NFL picks.

Washington Redskins Undefeated In Preseason
The Washington Redskins are undefeated in the preseason, winning both at home and on the road. They are 2-0 SU and ATS, covering as the 2-point underdogs on the road behind a 20-17 win over the Browns and overcoming the Lions 21-17 as the 2.5-point home chalk. Overall, they’ve put up 41 points and conceded 34 points.

The bad news for Washington fans and the Redskins’ 2015-2016 NFL betting season is RGIII appears to be injured once after, having suffered a concussion in week 2’s win over the Lions. That said the No.1 quarterback’s account in the preseason left much to be desired. Last week, he struggled mightily. Couldn’t find his feet really as he went 2 of 5 for 8 yards on four possessions. He was sacked three times and fumbled twice before being taken off the field with a concussion.

On the bright side, the backups were solid as the Redskins still managed to overcome the loss of RGIII and win. Colt McCoy stepped in and went 5 of 6 for 80 yards and a touchdown and Kirk Cousins went 8 of 12 for 91 yards and a touchdown.

Baltimore Ravens Look To Clinch Second Home Win
After opening the preseason with a 30-27 win at home over the Saints, the Ravens were overwhelmed by the lightning Eagles offense in week 2. Losing by a whopping 40-17 score when all was said and done in Philadelphia. In week 3, the Ravens return to the M&T Stadium, looking to capitalise on home advantage when they host the Redskins.

Joe Flacco and his starting O-line looked sharp during their limited turns on the field in week 1. In week 2 against the Eagles, things didn’t look so good, as Flacco went 3 of 7 for 23 yards and two interceptions. Nevertheless, it’s a preseason game so his performance must be takin with reservation. He’s sure to get some more playing time against the Redskins as he irons out the kinks and gets set for the coming season.

Overall, the Ravens are 1-1 SU and ATS in the preseason. They enter week 3 as the considerable 4-point home favourites and the total is trading at 43.5 at most NFL odds providers.

NFL Betting Tips and Picks:
The jury is out on RGIII and his perceived quality. Many NFL betting fans are split down the middle where he’s concerned. It follows, therefore, those that aren’t on his bang wagon are going to look at his absence from week 3’s clash with the Ravens as a fortuitous opportunity for the Redskins to continue their solid preseason. On both sides of the ball, the Redskins have looked good and they are undefeated so far. Largely, down to solid backup play rather than RGIII. So the 4-points on offer in this game might appear to be a steal for our NFL picks.

For our money, we’re leaning towards the Ravens in this game. It’s a home affair and Flacco and the starters are sure to get more playing time. Look for Flacco to put in an impressive account against a Redskins side that has been playing above its head so far.
