The last few weeks I have spoken about the virtues of adding six-points teasers to betting NFL arsenal and hope you have followed my suggestions, hitting three four-teamers to start the season!

Betting teasers is not about just trying to get an edge on a particular team, it is finding the right key numbers where many game outcomes land and being in the correct position against the NFL betting odds. For example, we want to pass thru keys numbers of 7, 6 and 3 and place you in more advantageous position.

Because of the popularity among those making NFL picks, all A+ rated sportsbooks offer excellent payouts on teasers such as Heritage . There are many ways to bet these and I prefer to keep it to no more than four choices and as low as two.

Let's get things started with these week 4 NFL picks.

Cleveland +13.5 Teaser Odds
This is not so much a play on Cleveland as it is against Washington. First, the Redskins should not be favored by 7.5 points against anybody. From pure teaser perspective encompassing numbers, with the Browns, we climb over somewhat important figures of +10 and +13 to add value. Also, if we look at the standard spread, if a team like Washington is favored by 3.5 to 10 points and is facing a losing team and won their last contest by three points or less versus a division rival, they have a negative score margin of -0.1 points in last 28 instances.

Houston +1 Teaser Odds
With Houston lowered from -6.5 to -5 against Tennessee, for teaser purposes the Texans are now getting one point. In this instance we slide under the three and Houston at home just needs to win the game. Focus should not be a problem for the Texans after a humbling loss at New England. Against the Titans, Houston has won and covered four in a row, is 5-0 on the teaser line and is 11-3 at home against Tennessee with a 6-point teaser number.

Dallas +3.5 Teaser Odds
Don't place me in the school of thought San Francisco can cover against Dallas. There are those that do however and the 49ers have been lowered to +2.5. For this teaser, it feels like a gift, now being able to catch the Cowboys at better than a field goal. My research also discovered losing home teams off consecutive road losses in their last 50 games, have gotten beat be an average of 7.2 points a contest.

Minnesota +1.5 Teaser Odds
On Monday night, Minnesota returns home after an impressive win at Carolina. With this adjusted teaser number, once against the Vikings just have to win the game. This is important since their offense has not been very good, but their defense has been stifling. New York has capabilities to move the ball throwing, but Minnesota's defensive line should take advantage of the Giants frailties in the O-Line and their secondary does stick to receivers. With Minny 15-5 SU in last 20 regular season contests, let's look in their direction.
