***Bengals vs. 49ers ATS Pick***

Opening Odds & Line Movement
Open: -4.5 -105 at Pinnacle
The Bengals were 4.5-point favorites on the road to open the NFL odds and after going down to -4, the odds went back to -4.5 for the road team. Cincinnati were handed 33-20 at home by the Steelers in a game where everyone is picking against them as favorites. Things got worse when QB Andy Dalton threw a pick and then hurt his thumb trying to make a tackle. That means QB A.J. McCarron will get the start and he was 22-for-32 for 280 yards, two touchdowns and two picks, which isn't a bad start. The 49ers lost 24-10 at Cleveland and it should be no surprise that the offense wasn't good, gaining 221 yards. That has been the story all season as San Francisco is last in points scored and yards gained. Cincinnati's defense is second in points allowed and 10th in yards allowed. The San Francisco defense is good, but how long can they hold off the Bengals?

Injuries
Dalton is gone for the regular season because of his thumb and the Bengals simply hope that he'll be back for the playoffs, so that's concerning. TE Tyler Eifert has a concussion and didn't practice on Wednesday, and neither did CB Leon Hall with his bad back. CB Adam Jones was limited after missing the Pittsburgh game in a foot injury, while LB Vontaze Burfict was limited by his knee after playing a major role in the feisty mood of the Steelers game.

The 49ers put RB Carlos Hyde on the injured-reserve list because of his foot injury, while G Alex Boone has a slight tear in his MCL. However, the 49ers aren't doing anything this season, so he might as well heal up for 2016.

Trends
The Bengals are 10-2-1 ATS this season and have covered the spread in all six road games, while San Francisco is 6-7 ATS and 4-2 ATS at home. The total is set for 40.5, down from 42, and the Bengals have gone over seven times. The 49ers have gone under seven times.

The 49ers are 8-2 SU and 3-6-1 ATS in 10 meetings with the Bengals, including a 20-16 win at Super Bowl XIII in 1989. The Bengals are 0-4 SU in San Francisco, but they've covered in three of those games.
