There are a couple of tight matchups on the Week 7 slate in the CFL, but I have zeroed-in on a couple of golden opportunities to capitalize on the total line with this week’s picks. The following is a closer look at my two-team CFL parlay picks in Week 7 of the regular season based on betting odds from 5Dimes.

This Week's CFL Two-Team Parlay: Roughriders +10 & Stampeders -4.5

Game 1: Saskatchewan Roughriders at Edmonton Eskimos
Saskatchewan has stumbled out of the gate to a 0-5 start both straight-up and against the spread in the absence of Darian Durant at quarterback and a defense that is allowing an average of 33 points a game. While the offense has been able to put points on the board with Kevin Glenn at the helm, he left last week’s game against Hamilton in the fourth quarter with an injury to his throwing arm and remains questionable for Friday night.

The Eskimos remain the most balanced team in the CFL through their 3-1 start both SU and ATS. They are averaging 28 points a game on offense and their defense is ranked first in the CFL in total points allowed (58). In last week’s 32-3 romp over Winnipeg as a six-point home favorite. Edmonton rolled-up 279 yards through the air and 101 yards on the ground. James Franklin took over the reins at quarterback and while he only completed five of his eight attempts for 83 yards, three of those passes went for touchdowns.

CFL Betting Trends
The Roughriders are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a SU winning record and they are 0-5-1 ATS in their last six games on the road. The total has gone OVER in seven of their last nine games played on a Friday.

The Eskimos are 6-2 ATS in their last eight division games and they have covered ATS in their last seven games at home. The total has stayed UNDER in seven of their last eight games against a West Division foe.

Saskatchewan is just 1-5 ATS in its last six road games against Edmonton and the total has stayed UNDER in the last four meetings.

Betting Prediction
There is nothing pointing to any kind of dramatic turnaround for the Roughriders on the road this week and they are heading into a place where they had little success over the past few years. This sets up a solid play on Edmonton SU, but I still have Saskatchewan keeping it a 10-point game to cover ATS with one of my sports picks in what is always a tough divisional battle.

Team A CFL Pick: Saskatchewan +10 at 5Dimes

Game 2: Montreal Alouettes at Calgary Stampeders
Montreal is off to a 2-2 SU start with a 2-1-1 record ATS. One of those SU victories came in Week 2 when the Alouettes stunned Calgary 29-11 as 9.5-point underdogs at home. They have gotten some solid play from backup quarterback Rakeem Cato in light of some injuries. He has thrown for 822 yards and four touchdowns while completing an impressive 72.2 percent of his 90 pass attempts.

The Stampeders were stunned by Ottawa last week in a 29-26 overtime loss in which they closed as four-point road favorites. The defending 2014 Grey Cup Champs are now 3-2 SU with a costly 0-5 record ATS. One major injury of note is the loss of running back Jon Cornish for the foreseeable future with a bad thumb. Bo Levi Mitchell threw for 318 yards and wide receiver Eric Rogers hauled in six catches for 124 yards and a score, but Calgary’s defense could not come up with the plays when it needed to the most

CFL Betting Trends
The Alouettes 9-4 ATS over their last 13 games and the total has stayed UNDER in 12 of their last 14 games played on the road. It has also stayed UNDER in five of six games following a SU win.

The Stampeders are 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games following a SU loss and they are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games in the month of August. The total has stayed UNDER in their last four home games.

Montreal has failed to cover in seven of the last nine meetings and it is 0-5 ATS in its last five road games against Calgary. The total has stayed UNDER in four of the last five meetings.

Betting Prediction
Stick with the recent betting trends in this matchup. Calgary tends to bounce back from SU loses pretty well and it has dominated this series over the past few years. It also helps that the Stampeders’ motivation to avenge that earlier loss will be running high.

Team B CFL Pick: Calgary -4.5
