The Pittsburgh Steelers own a perfect Monday Night Football record at Heinz Field, which makes them an attractive ATS pick versus the Houston Texans.

Split Decision
Houston has split its first six games of the Bill O’Brien era, as it has lost the statistical battle in all of those affairs, including a 33-28 defeat to the Indianapolis Colts as 2.5-point home underdogs last Thursday.

Texans running back Arian Foster is the key player to handicap when making your Week 7 NFL betting picks in this matchup, as he’s put together back-to-back 100-yard games on the ground, while the team is a perfect 6-0 SU when handing him the ball 30 or more times in his career.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the franchise is a downtrodden 0-10 SU and 5-5 ATS as underdogs of 3.5 to 9.5 points, with the UNDER going 6-4 in that situation.

Fallen Into a Pattern
Pittsburgh has alternated wins and losses over its first six games, as it returns home after dropping a 31-10 decision to the Cleveland Browns as 2.5-point road underdogs Sunday, while going UNDER the betting total for a second consecutive contest.

The Steelers will do their best to win the ground battle in this AFC matchup, especially since running back Le’Veon Bell ranks second in the league with 793 yards from scrimmage.

NFL handicappers will find that the squad is a dominating 46-26 ATS as home favorites of 3.5 to 7 points in its last 72 opportunities.

High Watt-age
Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt is a serious contender to win the 2014 NFL MVP Award, considering he’s found the endzone three times already this year.

Houston is hoping that rookie Jadeveon Clowney is able to return to the field after missing multiple weeks with a knee injury, but O’Brien has mentioned that he’s 50-50 to return to the field in this affair.

Under the Bright Lights
Despite their inconsistent play in the early going this year, the Steelers are worthy favorites when looking over the NFL odds, considering they’ve won 15 consecutive home games on Monday night.

Pittsburgh has put together a perfect 7-0 SU record when featured on the primetime broadcast at Heinz Field, with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completing 72-of-109 passes for a 104.8 passer rating in five games under center in that role.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Steelers as one of their top plays, as the Texans have gone 1-15 SU and 6-10 ATS as underdogs the last two-plus seasons.
