Carolina has received a scheduling break in preparing for Philadelphia, which makes it a dangerous road underdog on Monday Night Football.

A First Time For Everything
Carolina head coach Ron Rivera is hoping to turn things around in Week 10, as it follows a Thursday night game with a Monday night affair for the first time in franchise history, as it looks to snap a three-game losing streak.

The Panthers have actually lost the statistical battle in eight of nine games during the 2014 campaign, which can’t be ignored when looking over the NFL odds, as it faces an opponent that has put together a +36.2-yard advantage this year.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the squad is 3-6 SU and 7-2 ATS as underdogs of 3.5 to 9.5 points, with the OVER going 6-3 in that situation.

Returning Home
Philadelphia split a pair of road games coming off its bye week, as it returns home after securing a 31-21 victory over the Houston Texans as 1.5-point road favorites Sunday, while out-gaining its third consecutive opponent by 121 or more yards.

The Eagles have won eight straight regular season home games, which is important to consider when making your Week 10 NFL picks, but No. 2 signal-caller Mark Sanchez will be making his first start since Dec. 30, 2012.

It’s important to point out that the team is 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS as favorites of 3.5 to 9.5 points this year.

Getting Healthy
Carolina is expected to be as healthy as it has been all year for this NFC matchup, especially on the offensive line, as Rivera has sent out five different combinations in nine games this season.

The Panthers have scored just 36 points over the course of their current losing streak, but quarterback Cam Newton should be able to move the ball against the Eagles—a unit that recently lost key linebacker DeMeco Ryans to a season-ending injury.

Turnover Margin
The Philadelphia Eagles could move to seven-point favorites in the marketplace before kickoff, but sports bettors should be cautious in laying that type of number on a squad that enters with a minus-10 turnover margin.

Sanchez is a capable option under center after completing 15-of-22 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions when replacing Nick Foles last week, but the Panthers have produced 16 takeaways.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Panthers as one of their top betting selections, as they’ve gone 6-1 ATS as road underdogs of 3.5 to 7 points since 2012.
