Denver Broncos descend on Edward Jones Dome to face the St. Louis Rams, all while looking to record their second straight road win and continue cruising towards the AFC West title. Find out what NFL odds have gone to press and where the value NFL picks are to be had.

Denver Broncos Look For Second Straight Road Win
Peyton Manning and the Broncos may have lost at the Foxborough two weeks ago, but it's a distant memory now, separated by a convincing 41-17 win over divisional rivals Oakland Raiders, behind which they improved to 7-2 SU on the season. The win marked their second road win to improve to 2-2 SU on the road, all while covering as the 11.5-point road chalk and recording their sixth straight OVER in total betting.

Betting shops opened with the Broncos as the 8-point favourites (or thereabouts depending on your choice online betting exchange), but since early doors the Broncos (5-4 ATS mark through nine rounds) have moved up to 9.5-points. Some books are recording point-spreads on this game of 10-points in midweek NFL betting. So high is betting confidence in the Broncos. With public money continuously pounding the Broncos (already 70% stake has been recorded in early NFL betting markets) in their upcoming clash with the St. Louis Rams, it's quite likely the NFL lines will continue to swell in their favour.

The 5-touchdown performance by Peyton Manning at the expense of the hapless Raiders has gone some way towards assuaging NFL bettors who lost money on the Broncos in week 9's loss to the New England Patriots. The Broncos improved to the top of most NFL power rankings at the conclusion of week 10 NFL betting, they have the second best passing offense which is averaging 317.9 yards per game and they are averaging 31.8 points per game. They also boast the best rushing defense in the league   that is allowing just 67.0 yards per game.

Are The Rams As Bad As Their Season Record
It's been a rough season all around for the St. Louis Rams on and off the field. Injuries, various trials and tribulations, and a tough schedule have conspired against them. Although they've dealt with some of the challenges thrust into their path namely, beating Seattle and San Francisco they are still only 3-6 SU through 10 weeks of the NFL season, all but written off for the remainder.

Last Sunday, the Rams lost to divisional leaders Arizona Cardinals 31-14, largely down to a late collapse. Racing to a 14-10 lead, the Rams looked to be on the verge of another eyebrow raising upset against a divisional opponent, when, all of a sudden, the Cardinals scored three 4th quarter touchdowns to snatch the win out of their expectant grasps. That's not an unusual trend with the Rams: late collapses and failures to close out games successfully. Truth be told, they very nearly lost the game to the Niners, only for a bit of luck and some fortunate calls going their way late in the game. It's something to think about when considering the Rams against the spread in this game, not to mention their overall 3-6 ATS record this season highlighted by a 9.8-point margin of defeat.

NFL Betting Verdict
There's an argument to be had about the Broncos not being utterly convincing on the road when they are just 2-2 SU and ATS on the road. But against lesser opponents, the Broncos can be counted on getting it done, surely. Rams may be a tough nut to crack, especially as they seem to play up to better opponents. But they can't keep it up for four quarters of a game, as evidenced last week in the loss to the Cardinals, which also saw Carson Palmer being carted off the field to be replaced by Drew Stanton. If the Cardinals behind backup Stanton can beat the Rams, then Peyton Manning, the record-breaking mode he's on, should be able to deliver not only the SU win but also the cover for NFL bettors.

St. Louis Rams are just 1-3 ATS at home with a 10.8-point margin of defeat. NFL bettors backing the Rams as the hefty 9.5-point home pups are probably putting too much stock into their win over the Seattle Seahawks, which let's face it was a one-off. Take the Broncos as the NFL odds 9.5-point faves on your NFL picks.
