Even though NFL offenses have become more and more reliant on the passing game, no wide receiver has ever been named the league’s MVP. Fortunately, there are many other ways we can cash in on some of the NFL’s top pass-catchers with our 2022 futures picks.

Courtland Sutton, Gabriel Davis, and Tyreek Hill have appealing prop lines for their 2022 performance. We take a look at the best profit opportunities with two set for a breakout season and Hill's new surroundings lowering expectations much too far.

Here are some of our favorite wide receiver prop bets to make in 2022, based on the odds at our top-rated sportsbooks.

Wide Receiver Predictions for 2022

Sutton to have most receiving yards (+4500)

Proven commodities like Justin Jefferson (+800), Cooper Kupp (+900) and Ja’Marr Chase (+1000) top the betting odds in this prop. Veterans Davante Adams (+1200), Stefon Diggs (+1400), and even tight end Travis Kelce (+2000) aren’t far behind. That opens a lot of value on players who haven’t quite lived up to their potential yet, and Sutton certainly qualifies.

Sutton actually did show glimmers of what he’s capable of in 2019, posting a 1,112-yard season in his sophomore campaign. But he had just three catches for 66 yards the following year before an ACL injury ended his 2020 season in his first game. He then struggled to a 776-yard campaign last year with Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock as his quarterbacks. Now that Russell Wilson is under center for the Denver Broncos, he finally has an elite passer to play with for the first time in his career, and the potential is there for a big year under offensive-minded head coach Nathaniel Hackett.

Davis to have 12+ regular-season receiving touchdowns (+500)

Not many casual NFL fans were aware of Davis before his incredible 201-yard, four-touchdown performance in last year’s AFC divisional round against the Kansas City Chiefs. But he'd already emerged as a big weapon in the Buffalo Bills’ lethal attack prior to that outing, closing the regular season with four touchdowns across his final five games before adding another in the wild-card round against the New England Patriots.

It’s also worth noting that the two games in which Davis failed to reach the end zone during that stretch were his first two games back after recovering from COVID-19.

Davis should be able to pick up where he left off in a Bills offense that many believe will score the most points in the NFL this year. Opposing defenses still need to respect Diggs, who ranked fifth in the league in red-zone target percentage a year ago, so that could leave Davis with plenty of one-on-one matchups inside the 20. Bills QB Josh Allen could also be looking his way a lot more following the departures of veterans Cole Beasley and Emmanuel Sanders, who drew nearly 200 total targets in 2021. If you’re a bit more conservative with your NFL wide receiver props, FanDuel also offers Davis’ season receiving touchdown total at 7.5 with -126 juice on the Over.

Tyreek Hill to have 1,250+ regular-season receiving yards (+320)

Hill eclipsed this number in two of the last three seasons in which he played 15 or more games, and he would have likely done it in 2019 if he hadn’t missed four games to injury.

Last year, Hill came up 11 yards short of the 1,250-yard mark, but that can be explained by the way opposing defenses began using two high safeties and forcing the Chiefs to throw the ball more underneath. Hill’s 11.2 yards-per-reception average was 3.6 yards lower than he’s posted in any other season (except for his rookie campaign in 2016, when he started just one game).

Expect that yards-per-reception average to shoot back up now that Hill is with the Miami Dolphins, where opponents won’t be utilizing the deep safety approach to defend quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Hill should also see more balls than he did in Kansas City, where Kelce and Mecole Hardman ate up a lot of targets.
