Week 4 O/U Predictions

Dolphins-Bengals Under 47.5 (-115) ★★★★★

The Miami Dolphins' defense deserves recognition as one of the NFL’s top units limited the Buffalo Bills in Week 3. Miami’s offense is certainly explosive, but its supposed shootout with Buffalo never came to fruition.

Miami’s pass rush produced 43 pressures on 73 Josh Allen dropbacks last week. That’s a problem for a weak Cincinnati Bengals offensive line. In six games played by the Dolphins and Bengals this season, this total has been reached only once. Factor in the uncertain injury status of Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa and there’s value on Thursday’s Under.

Bills-Ravens Over 51.5 (-105) ★★★★

The Baltimore Ravens are the perfect combination of an elite quarterback and a porous defense. Since handling the New York Jets in Week 1, the Ravens have invited the Dolphins and the offensively-challenged Patriots into shootouts.

Baltimore has played two games with 60-plus total points already. With the Bills hungry off the Miami loss and still averaging 30-plus points per game, 51.5 points doesn’t seem like enough to contain these two explosive offenses.

Seahawks-Lions Over 50 (-110) ★★★★

No matter the opponent this season, the Detroit Lions have a recipe for fireworks. Detroit has the second-highest scoring average in the NFL at 31.7 points per game. Of course, they stay aggressive to counteract their league-worst scoring defense (31.0 points per game).

The Seattle Seahawks have explosive players in wide receivers Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf capable of taking advantage of holes in a defense. The Lions' defense allows 142.3 rushing yards per game. On behalf of running backs Rashaad Penny and Kenneth Walker III, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is already licking his chops.
