Atlanta lost for the first time in 2015 on the road in New Orleans, and they should be well rested as that was last Thursday. They head to Tennessee to take on the 1-4 Titans, who have lost 4 straight.
Opening Odds & Line Movement
Open: -3.5 -108 at Pinnacle
The NFL odds opened up at -3.5 to the Falcons on the road, and it will surely go higher if Mariota can't go, which means it's go time for either Zach Mettenberger or Charlie Whitehurst. The Falcons are coming off a loss, on a long week and even though they're on the road, Atlanta has won two of three at the New York Giants and Dallas this season.

The Falcons got a boost injury-wise as WR Julio Jones has been held of practices early in the week because of his hamstring. Jones was practicing on Tuesday, so that has to be encouraging for the Falcons, who should still be without LB Justin Durant and his injured elbow. C Mike Person is aiming to come back from an ankle injury.
QB Mariota took a low hit against the Dolphins and has a sprained MCL, so he'll be one to watch for the Titans. He has gotten off to a great start in his NFL career, and it would be a huge blow to the Titans if he couldn't play as you look at his replacements. C Brian Schwenke is out for the season with a leg injury, so that is something to watch for the Titans, who need to be able to protect Mariota or his replacement. The offensive line wasn't great to begin with in Tennessee, but the coaching staff has brought in plays for the quarterback to get the ball out quickly.
Atlanta has covered the spread in four of their last six games overall, and four of their last five on the road. The Titans are 2-9 ATS in their last games, and they've covered the spread in just two of their last 17 at home, along with a push as well.
The Titans are 3-1 SU and 1-1-2 ATS in four meetings with Atlanta since moving to Tennessee, and at home, they're 2-0 SU against the Falcons with a 1-1 ATS mark.
