A pair of teams coming off losses kick off the late games on Sunday. Detroit was unfortunate to lose in Seattle as a bad call took a victory & now the Cardinals head into town.

Opening Odds & Line Movement

Open: -2.5 -113 at Pinnacle
The Cardinals are a 2.5-point favorite on the road and the NFL odds have stayed there, and it's not surprising when you consider that they're 3-1 and have looked very good for the most part. However, the Lions have lost all four games by 12 points or less, they've played three of their first four games on the road and really, they should have won the Seattle game. A bad call (the NFL admitted as such) took the win from them, and the Lions more than held their own in arguably the toughest place to play in the league. This is also the start of four straight games at home for Detroit, which is almost unheard of in today's NFL.

The Cardinals are pretty healthy coming into this game, to the point that they held out RB Andre Ellington out an extra week to make sure he was healthy in the future. Arizona is going to need a healthy year from everyone, especially QB Carson Palmer, if they're going to shoot for the NFC West title.

For the Lions, TE Brandon Pettigrew should be back from a hamstring injury, but fellow TE Eric Ebron is on the shelf for about three weeks with a bruised knee. DT Tyrunn Walker is out for the season with a broken leg, DT Haloti Ngata needs an MRI for his calf, and the Lions are still waiting on LB DeAndre Levy and his hip.

The Cardinals have covered the spread in 12 of their last 17 games, while the Lions have done so in two of their last eight. Arizona is 2-3 SU and 3-2 ATS in their last five on the road, and Detroit is 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS in five games at home. Keep an eye on the total, which opened at 44.5 and is now 44 as the Cardinals have gone over in their last five, while the Lions have gone under in four of their last five.

These two have met five times since 2007, with the Cardinals winning all five and covering in four. Only one of those games were in Detroit as the Cardinals won 31-24 in December 2009, and the Cardinals were favored by 14 points in that game. The underdog was favored in four of those games.
