After a 10-1 week of NFL props, I’m back in Week 8 to try and continue that run. The NFL odds from bet365 are still very valuable, and with the regular season about to take the turn to the second half, let’s try and extract more wins for our NFL picks.
Andy Dalton O/U 240.5 Pass Yards
Last week the Colts blanked the Bengals, and if that was any indication as to what they look like without AJ Green in their lineup, the Bengals are not only in trouble this week, but for this season as well. This week they have to play the Ravens, a team that the Bengals and more specifically Dalton have struggled against. At 240 passing yards, and likely without Green again this week, the under is definitely the play. Besides his massive 323 passing yards game against the Panthers in their tie, Dalton’s last few games have been forgettable. If you take away that game, in his last three, Dalton hasn’t throw for more than 204 yards, and his passer rating in those games has been horrible. Plus, against the Ravens in his career, Dalton has struggled. Sure he threw for over 300 yards against the Ravens earlier in the season, but he only had one touchdown, and before that, Dalton had six touchdowns and 11 interceptions in his career against the Ravens. I see Dalton struggling again without Green in the lineup, and throwing for less than 240.
NFL Pick: UNDER 240.5 pass yards (-110)
Doug Baldwin O/U 61.5 Receiving Yards
With the trade of Percy Harvin, the Seahawks have to establish another number one receiver, and Doug Baldwin looks to be Russell Wilson’s guy. Before last week, Baldwin’s targets per game were around four to five, however now that Harvin is 3000 miles away, Baldwin received 10 targets last week, and is quickly becoming Wilson’s favorite target. He turned those 10 targets into 123 receiving yards last week against the Rams, and with the issues the Seahawks are having on defense, it wouldn’t surprise me to see them have to throw the ball more this week and in the weeks to follow. This week against the Panthers’ severely regressed secondary, Baldwin should have no problem picking up 62 or more yards based on volume alone.
NFL Pick: OVER 61.5 receiving yards (-125)
Greg Olsen TD Scored
What better way to finish off our props this week than a touchdown prop on Greg Olsen. Right now his NFL odds to score a touchdown are at +120, which is a complete steal considering his opponent. The public still believes that Seattle is a good defense, however they have proven otherwise over the last few weeks, especially against tight ends. The Seahawks have given up eight touchdowns to opposing tight ends, which is the most in the NFL. Olsen should continue to be Cam Newton’s favorite target, and since he has scored five times this season and in two of the last three weeks, he looks to be a great value in the NFL odds. At +120, the value is immense and I am ready to take a stab for my NFL picks.
NFL Pick: Olsen TD Scored (+120)
