After some success this season with team and player props, I’m back once again to release my three free team props for Week 3 of the NFL. All of these props are courtesy of bet365 sportsbook, and all three have some nice price value.
Redskins vs. Eagles O/U 5 ½ Touchdowns
Washington and Philadelphia kick off what should be a very good divisional battle in Week 3, and the NFL odds have the total sitting at over 50 points. With that high of a total, Vegas is obviously thinking this will be a high scoring game, and I tend to agree. There should be multiple scores, and if they are mostly touchdowns, this prop is bound to go over. Even though the value isn’t great at -125 for the over, there is still a window for us to cash the over with this prop. I expect three or more touchdowns from both of these teams, and even though it’s a slight risk considering the price isn’t great, I still think we can make some money betting the over here. Neither one of these defenses will put up a huge fight, and with Kurt Cousins under center for the Redskins, their offensive value should increase a lot.
NFL Pick: OVER 5 ½ touchdowns (-125)
Steelers vs. Panthers: Will Either Team Score 3 Unanswered?
In the words of the great Jim Ross, Sunday night’s game should be nothing less than a slobber knocker. The Panthers have one of the better defenses in the entire league, even without Greg Hardy, and after the Steelers got beat down by their bitter divisional rival last Thursday, they will be out for blood in Week 3. Even though the Steelers’ offense didn’t play well, it was a short week, and the Ravens’ defense was very good. Pittsburgh’s defense isn’t as good as I thought it would be heading into this season, but the year is still young, and for this game Sunday night, I doubt either team is going to score three unanswered times. This should be a low scoring and defensive game, and with the great price from bet365 of +162 for the ‘no’, I am all over this prop this week.
NFL Pick: No 3 unanswered scored (+162)
Ravens vs. Browns O/U 3 ½ Field Goals
Last week in that Steelers and Ravens game, we successfully projected them both to score four or more field goals, and I’m at it again this week with the Browns and Ravens. Justin Tucker is a kicking machine, and against the Browns, the Ravens should be forced to kick some. So far this season Baltimore has one of the lowest touchdown scoring percentages in the red zone at 33%, and the Browns aren’t that much better. Through two games they both rank in the bottom half of the league in red zone scoring percentage, and furthermore, both of their defenses are very good. They should hold one another down in this divisional game, and because of it, I see four or more field goals being scored between the two teams. Browns’ kicker Billy Cundiff will also want to get back at his old team, the Ravens, so take the over for your NFL picks.
NFL Pick: OVER 3 ½ field goals (-110)
