The book is barely closed on week 16 NFL betting, but NFL odds are already in swing for week 17. Check out which games we're spotting hot off the press.

Jets +4.5 vs. Dolphins -4.5
Although the Miami Dolphins were eliminated from the AFC playoff race in week 16 NFL betting, their come from behind win over the Minnesota Vikings sends them into the final week of the season on a wave of optimism. Ryan Tannehill enjoyed a standout night going for 35-of-47 for 396 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. He singlehandedly drove the Dolphins 80-yards to set up the game tying touchdown pass. Overall, Tannehill enjoyed a breakout performance, equally Dan Marino's four touchdown record in 1998.

The Jets are after a narrow 17-16 loss to the Patriots, a game they very nearly won but for a boggled field goal attempt late in the fourth quarter. The loss marked yet another disheartening narrow loss on the season as they slipped to a 3-12 SU record. The season for the Jets has been disappointing in every aspect and the sooner they can put it to bed the better; they can start the rebuilding process for the next season.

As divisional rivalries go, they are typically close, heated affairs. This AFC East showdown could go that way. It certainly did when the Dolphins won 16-13 in New York. Seeing as neither team is playing for anything meaningful now, it's safe to assume there's little motivation for either side to get up for this clash. The tiebreaker: the Dolphins seem to be on the right track while the Jets are left with more questions than answers for the next season.  That being the case, it could tip the balance in favour of the Dolphins. They are on the verge of finishing their season in the positive for the first time since 2008. So just as they opened the season with a big win over the Patriots at home, look for the Dolphins to close the season on a solid win over the Jets and add them to your NFL picks this week.

Free NFL Pick: Dolphins -4.5

Colts -6.5 vs. Titans + 6.5
Colts are after an unforgettable outing in week 16 NFL betting. Completely and utterly blown out of the AT&T Stadium in a 42-7 loss to the Cowboys, the Colts will be looking to bounce back in their last regular season lap around the NFL betting floor. As far as matchup goes, they couldn't have asked for a better matchup to assuage their bruised egos had they personally written to NFL schedulers to look kindly upon them. The Titans are one of the worst offerings of the season; not only do they prop up the AFC South with a 2-13 SU mark on the season, they are in danger of finishing the season on the worst win-loss record of the entire field. As it stands, they have the fewest wins to their credit. Certainly, a win over the Colts in the last week of the season would be out of character, not to mention pulling off the cover as the 6.5-point road underdogs. Titans are coming off a lacklustre 21-13 loss to the Jaguars. If the 3-12 SU Jaguars can beat the Titans by an 8-point margin, surely the No.1 ranked passing offense can hang a few more points than that. Look for the Colts to bounce back in week 17 NFL betting and heap more misery on the Titans.

Free NFL Pick: Colts -6.5

Cardinals vs. Niners -4.5
Although the Niners are after a disappointing 38-35 overtime loss to the Chargers, a game that saw Philip Rivers and company rally to erase a 21-point lead and clinch the victory, it was one of their best games since their opening win over the Dallas Cowboys. Indeed, without the pressure of qualifying for the playoffs, the Niners seemed relaxed. Playing freely, Colin Kaepernick was firing at all cylinders, even rushing for a 90-yard touchdown.

The Cardinals, meanwhile, are after a 35-6 thumping at home to the Seattle Seahawks in Sunday Night Football betting. Third-string quarterback Ryan Lindley was clearly out of his depth as he went 18-of-44 for 216 meaningless yards and no touchdowns. Indeed, the Seahawks held the Cardinals to just two field goals over the course of four quarters. Although the Cardinals are tied 11-4 SU with the Seahawks, their grasp on the divisional title weakened. On a positive note, they have clinched a playoff spot.

In this ultimate AFC West showdown, the Niners are playing for pride and the Cardinals will be playing for the divisional title.  No NFL odds ready for this game at the moment of press but It's definetly a must-win game for the Cardinals if they hope to challenge the Seahawks, but it's hard to see them accomplishing the feat with Lindley calling the shots. Cards defense is good, but Lindley simply isn't the answer on offense.

Free NFL Pick: Niners -4.5
