This year’s CFL season comes down to one final matchup between the upstart Ottawa RedBlacks, out of the East against the West’s Edmonton Eskimos for 2015 Grey Cup title.

BetOnline has set the CFL betting odds for Sunday’s title showdown and after digging deep into the stats, facts and figures the following are my parlay picks for both the side and the total in this game.

Grey Cup Matchup
Ottawa RedBlacks vs. Edmonton Eskimos
Pointspread: Edmonton -7.5
Total: 53

Grey Cup Overview
Ottawa was a prohibitive longshot to even make the playoffs this season after winning just two games last season in its inaugural season as the RedBlacks. Following an even 4-4 straight-up start they began to pick up steam and a four-game winning streak including back-to-back victories against Hamilton to close-out the regular season was enough to claim the East Division title at 12-6. This past Sunday’s 35-28 victory against the Tiger-Cats in the East Division Final as six-point home favorites raised their record to 4-0 against the spread in their last four games. The total has now gone OVER in six of their last nine contests.

Much of Ottawa’s turnaround this season can be attributed to an offense that averaged 25.8 points a game led by veteran quarterback Henry Burris. He led the CFL in passing yards this season with 5,703 while throwing 26 touchdowns against 13 interceptions. His most impressive stat in this stellar performance was a completion rate of 70.9 percent on 678 attempts.

Edmonton was one of the frontrunners for most of the season in the West along with Calgary, but three-straight victories against its bitter rival including a convincing 45-31 romp in this past Sunday’s West Final landed the Eskimos in this year’s title game. They paid off as three-point home favorites and the total has now gone OVER in six of their last seven games. Edmonton has been able to cover the spread in four of its last five games.

Mike Reilly may not be as proficient moving the ball down the field through the air as Burris, but he put-up some solid numbers this season while battling through a few injuries as well. He threw for 2,449 yards and 15 touchdowns after connecting on 214 of his 329 attempts. He saved one his best performances of the year for when it counted the most with 370 yards passing and three scoring strikes in this past Sunday’s win. Wide receiver Adarius Bowman had the second-most receiving yards in the CFL with 1,304 on 93 catches while battling through some injuries of his own. He hauled-in six balls for 74 yards and a touchdown in the West Final, but Derel Walker stole the show with 11 receptions for 125 yards and a score.

Grey Cup Betting Trends
The RedBlacks have gone a profitable 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a SU winning record and they are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games. The total has gone OVER in eight of their last 11 games following a SU win.

The Eskimos bring a 19-9 record ATS in their last 28 games into this title matchup they are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a SU winning record. The total has gone OVER in five of their last six games following a SU win.

Over the last two seasons Edmonton has won each of the four meetings SU with a 3-1 edge ATS. The total has stayed UNDER in three of these four games.

Grey Cup Prediction
I really like the RedBlacks’ chances to make a game of this and while it would still be a stretch to see them win SU, I will take the 8.5 points. I also like the total in this game going OVER 53 as the back-end pick of my CFL Grey Cup parlay play.
