In probably the best matchup of the night, the Valparaiso Crusaders host the Wright State Raiders. Valpo has defeated 1 AP Top 25 squad this season and are on a 5 game winning streak. This is a team that will provide a tough matchup for most teams in the country and tonight Wright State will have to be at their best just to be competitive with Valpariso.

Wright State  vs Valparaiso

"The Big 2 ?"

Look no further than the combination of Alec Peters and Shane Hammink as Peters in particular, is having a monster senior season and I'm sure an NBA squad can use his services next year.

Peters leads the Crusaders with 24.2 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. In his last 3 games, Peters has produced 30 points on 2 separate occasions.

This is a player that play's outstanding defense and in case of a close game, Valparaiso will be looking to get Peters the basketball as he's nearly automatic at 90.3% from the free throw line. Along with Shane Hammink (15.3 points 4 rebounds), who is coming off of a 24 point effort against UIC, this will be a tough team for Wright State to compete with.

As a team, the Crusaders are shooting over 80% from the charity stripe and if this game is close, Valparaiso has to feel really confident about their chances of coming out on top.

Don't "Right Off Wright State"

The Raiders are on a bit of a run themselves as they've won 3 straight games and 8 out of their last 11. They've had an easier schedule than Valpo, but if Valpo doesn't bring their "A-Game", Wright State could make things interesting and possibly come up with a huge victory.

In their last 2 games, the Raiders are coming off of big-time scoring outputs in which they dominated both Detroit and Oakland, averaging 97 points per game and winning by an average margain of 19.5 points per game.

Mark Alstork

For the Raiders, junior guard, Mark Alstork has been solid all season long and just like Alec Peters, Alstork can also knock down his free throws.

He's coming off of a 24 point, 6 rebound, 6 assist effort against Oakland in which he saw the free throw line 10 times, converting on 9. The only drawback to his game is his selection of shots. Mark Alstork averages just 36.8% from the field, but Wright State will have to live with it as he's their best scoring option, checking in at 17.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.

Look for Valparaiso to defend their home court as the 9 point betting favorite as their key players play at a very high level.
