While the Washington Huskies have been a disappointment in the 2016-2017 NCAA Basketball Season thus far, they have an ace in the hole in Markelle Fultz and his outstanding play should be the difference in their matchup against a Western Michigan Broncos squad which is sorely lacking talent.

Western Michigan Broncos (3-6) vs Washington Huskies (4-5) A Man With a Plan

Like most players, freshman, Markelle Fultz's plan is to play well in college, lead his team to a championship, and ride off into the sunset to the NBA. While he hasn't found a way to get the Huskies above .500, he surely has kept up his end of the bargain when he signed his scholarship to Washington as this is a young man that can do it all.

At just 6 foot 4, 195 pounds, Fultz play's much bigger as he averages 6.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game. There's nothing this player can't do on either end of the court. He's averaging 22.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, 6.1 steals, 2.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks. Fultz is also a big money player as he stepped up with 25 points and 10 rebounds against Gonzaga. Look for Fultz to lead the way as the Huskies desperately look to reach the .500 mark on the season.

Where Western Michigan is concerned, they did face Villanova earlier in the season and lost by 11 points. While it's not a win, it certainly is a moral victory, proving that they can be competitive against the best teams in the nation.

Thomas Wilder

He might not be on the level of a Markelle Fultz, but junior guard, Thomas Wilder has a nice resume as a member of the Broncos as he's been a consistent source of offense every season and is a very efficient shooter.

Wilder is averaging 46.9% from beyond the arc and over 80% from the free throw line. He leads the Broncos in scoring at 16.3 points per game and is coming off of a 22 point effort against James Madison. For Western Michigan to have a chance in this game, Thomas Wilder must put up a near 20 point effort.

While I look for Wilder to play well, Washington can smell a .500 record with a win her and Markelle Fultz and company are a notch above the Broncos where talent is concerned.
