A couple of conference matchups could pay off with your NCAAB picks tonight as West Virginia plays at streaking Baylor, and Indiana visits Nebraska. Can each road team pull an upset?

West Virginia beat Baylor in a low-scoring game in early January, 57-54. On the college basketball odds board the script has been flipped for the rematch, with Baylor a small home favorite. I will take West Virginia plus the points with my NCAAB picks, because I think there is value in backing them and I believe they could pull the upset. Baylor has been hot recently, winning their past five games, and West Virginia is coming off a very tough loss at Kansas. Although it makes sense for Baylor to be the favorite in this spot, I really like how West Virginia matches up with them across the board, especially on the defensive side. West Virginia is allowing opponents to shoot just 41.7 percent but, more importantly, allowing just 45.4 percent on opponents' shots from the paint out, where Baylor thrives. Baylor has also been tremendous on the defensive end, allowing opponents just 40.6 percent overall and only 68.4 points per game. This ultimately looks like a very defensive battle that should go down to the final shot. Although Baylor has been playing as well as anybody in the country, look for West Virginia to keep this game interesting, likely to the buzzer.

Both teams have been playing good basketball, with Indiana winning four in a row and Nebraska taking eight of its past 10 contests. Nebraska is a small home favorite on the college basketball odds board, but I will take the Hoosiers plus the points. This a pretty good matchup for Indiana, which I think matches up well across the board with Nebraska. While the Huskers have been playing really good defense and rank ninth in the country in opponent shooting efficiency, they still lack a little bit on the offensive side, shooting just 43.6 percent from the floor. Indiana has been good on both sides of the ball, shooting a respectable 46 percent overall and allowing opponents to shoot just 43.7 percent. From points per game to points allowed to assists to rebounds, these teams match up evenly, which I believe puts good value on grabbing Indiana and the points with my NCAAB picks.
