In a Pac-12 filled with bad NCAAB picks, the No. 7 Colorado Buffaloes were one of the worst. They’ll have to do better in Wednesday’s first-rounder with the No. 10 WSU Cougars.

  Washington State vs. Colorado

By all means, the No. 7 Colorado Buffaloes should have their way with the No. 10 Washington State Cougars this Wednesday (9:00 p.m. ET, PAC12) when they meet in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament. But this hasn’t been the best of seasons for the Buffaloes. They’re one of the worst college basketball picks around at 18-13 SU and 11-18-1 ATS. And as poorly as the Cougars have played, at least they’re almost in the black at 13-17 SU and 14-13 ATS.

Washington State also managed to beat the Buffs at home this year, 91-89 in overtime as 6.5-point puppies. Colorado returned the favor by thumping the Cougars (+12.5) 81-49 in Boulder, but now they’ll be on neutral ground in Las Vegas, and WSU is still getting 10 points on the NCAA odds board as we go to press. As a rule of thumb, we value home-court advantage at 3.5 points here at the ranch.

Just to make things a little more difficult for Colorado, freshman guard Bryce Peters (–0.5 BPM) is suspended for Wednesday’s contest. Peters played 19 minutes off the bench in each game against the Cougs, putting up a combined 16 points and four assists. Up Wazzu!
