Wake Forest romped over Boston College in Tuesday’s First Round to advance here, but the Demon Deacons are still in Bubbleland according to the voices on my TV, meaning John Collins, Bryant Crawford and the Demon Deacons need to use their size and hit their shot to get by rested and No. 7-seeded Virginia Tech in Game 7 of this high-profile ACC Tournament. Is the Under worth consideration in what should be a brawl throughout?

Virginia Tech vs. Wake Forest Winner

Current Joe Lunardi “Last Four In” and #10 seed Wake Forest have the length but the Hokies have the Rest for this Second Round matchup in which G Chris Clarke (Knee) is out for Virginia Tech (14-11-1 ATS). Some Trends: The Over is 14-2 L16 Wake Forest ACC games and 20-8-1 L29 Demon Deacons overall while the Over is 8-3-1 L11 Hokies’ Neutral Site dates. In the series, Virginia Tech (6-1-1 ATS L8 vs. ACC) has gone 4-1 ATS L5, although Wake Forest (16-13-0 ATS) won the last meeting outright at Blacksburg, 89-84 as a 1-point underdogs (-162) on Jan. 4 so this will be scrappy. Expect the better team to prevail here and that seems to be Zach LeDay (15.6 ppg), Seth Allen, Ahmad Hill and the Hokies, despite being ranked #47 to Wake Forest’s #30 in the latest Ken Pomeroy rankings and despite the Demon Deacons upset win at Virginia tech on saturday in the last ACC Regular Season game of the year as the taller Deacs outrebounded VT, 30-24. This one will be war.
