Two teams nobody will want to get in the NCAA Tournament lock horns in the ACC Tournament’s third game from Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Thursday when Virginia Tech faces Florida State in a game which should have some pace and scoring. The #7th-seeded Hokies outscored Wake Forest in the Second Round on Wednesday to advance and now look to make the Semifinals with a win over FSU, but can the team that’s already played come back with no rest and beat a higher-seed that’s been laying in the weeds?

Virginia Tech vs. Florida State

The Over is now 9-3-1 in the L12 Virginia Tech Neutral site games after Wednesday’s Harlem Globetrotters-like 97-90 win over Wake Forest in the Second Round which saw the Hokies cover as 3-point underdogs in a game in which they trailed 44-37 at Halftime (161½). In this matchup, Zach LeDay (15.6 ppg), Seth Allen, Ahmad Hill and the Hokies (7-1-1 ATS L9 vs. ACC) are without G Chris Clarke (Knee) and Virginia Tech (15-11-1 ATS) lost by 15 points, 93-78, as 8½-point underdogs in Tallahassee on Jan. 7 (160½). With that game going Over by 10½ points and Virginia Tech scoring 62 points in the 2nd Half against Wake—they like the rims—and Wednesday’s game going Over by 27½, lean Over the Total here as Dwayne Bacon (16.9 ppg), Terance mann and the Seminoles (83.0 ppg, #17) can score and with both headed for more March Madness, neither should care about losing—or playing lockdown Defense and risking an injury or fatigue from an ACC Quarterfinals game during Championship Week. Both should reach the 80-point mark. The Over is 5-0 the L5 series meetings and 17-5 L22 FSU games after ATS Win.
