California (17-8, 7-5 Pac-12)
California Golden Bears are riding a three-game winning streak into Thursday’s date with the Huskies in the nation’s capital. The recent run of form has them improving to a 17-8 record on the season and a 7-5 SU record in Pac-12 as all those wins came against conference foes.

The run of form began with a 75-61 win over Stanford as the 7-point home faves, followed by an 83-63 win over Oregon as the 1.5-point home fave and then an 83-71 win over Oregon State as the 9.5-point home faves. All three wins saw the Golden Bears cover the spread too quite handily.

In their last ten games, the Golden Bears are a modest 5-5 SU and ATS. Most concerning for the California Golden Bears though is whether they can take this recent run of form on the road. As it is, the aforementioned wins were all at home, not to mention they are only 1-6 SU and 2-5 ATS on the road with a 3.9-point losing margin and a negative 1.8-point differential versus the spread. As away faves, they are 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS with a 2-point losing margin and a negative 6.3-point differential versus the spread.

On the season, California are 17-8-0 SU and 13-12-0 ATS with an 8.3-point winning margin and a plus 0.6-point differential versus the spread. In conference games, they are 7-5 SU and ATS with a 4-point winning margin and a plus 2-point differential versus the spread.

Washington (15-10, 7-6 Pac-12)
Washington Huskies are riding a three-game losing streak which has them slipping to a 15-10 record on the season, and a 7-6 record in Pac-12 action as all those losses came to conference foes Arizona, Utah and Colorado.

On one hand, none of those losses were major blowouts. They lost to Arizona 77-72 (home), Utah 90-82 (away) and Colorado (81-80 (away). By the numbers, they were outscored by 13-points altogether, for a 4.33 losing margin on average. Small consolation though that is because any positive take away from these close calls is marred by the fact that they are only 4-6 SU in their last ten games overall.

To put it simply, form isn’t exactly encouraging going into this clash. Hence, they are the home underdogs at early doors but only nominally so, trading at +1 across sports betting platforms. They are in 6-4 ATS in their last ten games.

Our NCAA basketball odds boards show that Washington are 15-10-0 SU and 14-9-0 ATS with a 3.8-point winning margin and a plus 2.5-point differential against the spread. At home, they are 10-4-0 SU and 8-4 ATS with an 11-point winning margin and a plus 4.7-point differential against the spread. In conference games, they are 7-6 SU but 9-4 ATS with a negative 1.7-point winning margin and plus 2.5-point differential versus the spread.

NCAAB Betting Verdict: Both teams are enjoying contrasting fortunes at the moment: California have won three straight while Washington have lost three straight, the difference being that all three of California’s wins came at home while two of Washington’s losses were on the road. If there was one aspect that was most telling: it’s the fact that California are 1-6 SU and 2-5 ATS on the road, riding a six-game losing streak into this game. Obviously, it must be grating to continuously lose on the road and the current form the Golden Bears are enjoying could very well prove to be the catalyst to snapping that negative trend. However, they don’t strike a convincing pose, let alone as the road faves. As such, we’re backing the Huskies on our NCAA basketball picks as the home underdogs for Thursday's game
