Our college basketball handicapping professional Ross Benjamin went 2-0-1 ATS on Saturday with his underdog picks, and that included two outright winners. He has three for today.

Davidson vs. Richmond 7:00 PM ET
Richmond has gone 2-4 SU&ATS in their last six games, and that includes losing two of its last three home games. The Spiders are one of the best shooting teams in the country. However, they’ve been terrible defensively during their last six games, allowing 48.6% shooting from the field. During the Spiders last five contests, opponents have converted on a sizzling hot 46.2% of their three point attempts. Richmond is making just 64.4% of their free throw attempts this season. You can’t overlook that flaw when it pertains to a favorite, and especially when trying to protect a lead in the closing minutes of a game.

Davidson has vastly underachieved thus far, and has shown some small signs of coming out of it in recent games. They began the season 7-1, and have gone a very disappointing 4-5 since. This is an experienced Wildcats team which enjoyed a lot of success a season ago, and is totally capable of making a strong surge down the final stretch. I think this is an ideal spot for Davidson to begin that run against a suspect defensive opponent.

Current NCAA basketball odds clearly provides me with the best number for this specific wager.

Detroit vs. Wisconsin-Green Bay 8:00 PM ET
Green Bay enters Monday’s game having gone just 2-3 in its last five games. Their lack of success during that recent stretch can certainly be attributed to shoddy defensive play. Green Bay has allowed 82.9 points per game, and opponents have shot 48.9% from the field in those previous five contests. They’re also a poor free throw shooting team that converts on just 63.5% of its attempts this season. That could be a huge factor in the closing minutes of tonight’s contest.

Detroit is 0-4 in their last four games, but their previous three defeats have been by only a combined 8 points. The Titans are 0-7 in true road games this season. However, they’ve also gone 4-3 ATS in those contests. Detroit is far from a good defensive team, but they don’t have any issues scoring, and are converting on an exceptional 39.8% of their three point attempts this season.

Oakland vs. Wisconsin-Milwaukee 9:00 PM ET
Oakland has gone 5-0 ATS in their last five true road games, and they won straight up on four of those occasions. As a matter of fact, they’ve gone 7-1 ATS in true road games for the season, and that includes a quality win at Washington.

Milwaukee has gone 0-5 ATS in its last five lined home games. They’ve been porous defensively over their previous five contests, allowing opponents to shoot 47% from the field, and a red-hot 41.5% from three point territory. That’s not good news since Monday’s opponent (Oakland) comes in #2 nationally in scoring offense averaging a massive 86.3 points per game.

I like the value with the home underdog in this situation, and one of my NCAA basketball picks on Monday will be indicative of that sentiment.
