It’s time to hoist a green beer and do what many others are doing today, reviewing the betting odds and moving the sportsbooks lines with the intent of winning money and building a bankroll.

Today we have four contests in a variety of sports to choose from. Like we say every day, understanding line moves can build your bankroll.

Orlando Magic vs. Houston Rockets  8:05 ET  FS-FL, ROOT-SW
There has not been anything magical about Orlando’s defense of late, surrendering 107.1 points a game in their last seven contests and is 5-2 OVER in this period. Only twice in Houston’s last 11 games have they failed to reach triple digits and the Rockets opponents have climbed to the century mark in points in eight of the same 11 games. With these numbers readily available to those putting together NBA picks, the totaled has hoisted from 203.5 to 205 on the NBA Odds. The Magic are 18-8 UNDER on the road when the total is 200 or higher since last year, but Houston off their win at the Clippers on Sunday are 26-13 OVER after playing a game as an underdog.

NBA Pick – Slight lean Under

Hampton vs. Manhattan 6:40 ET TruTV
Hampton (16-17) is the 24th team to make the NCAA tournament field with a losing record and in two of the past three years these types of clubs have won their initial contest outright. Unfortunately for Hampton, they will most likely be without its best player, 6-8 Dwight Meikle, whose been sidelined since the opener of the MEAC Tournament. This has help move Manhattan two points to -9. Another issue is the short turnaround time for Hampton to prepare for the Jaspers tricky half-court zone press defense and that can lead to multiple miscues. Unless Manhattan does not take this encounter seriously, hard to imagine the Jaspers coming up short against the spread in this one so take them with your NCAA Tournament picks

George Washington vs. Pittsburgh 7:00 ET  ESPN
Make no mistake, these first round matchups in the minor tournaments are challenging for different reasons. It starts with entering these events most likely off a loss and being relegated to this spot. If you have a home game, the crowd will be as spare as a Tamp Bay Rays home game, not providing the home team with any energy, only familiarity. The betting public is choosing to ignore these factors and changed Pittsburgh from -2.5 to -4 at home in spite of a 5-9 ATS mark in the Steel City. George Washington is only a slightly better option at 7-12 ATS, kind of like Ashley Judd having to choose between kissing Dick Vitale or Joe Biden. I honestly don’t like this game as a college basketball handicapper and would only take the points on the NCAA Tournament odds because they are available, not because I favor the Colonials.

NCAA Tournament Pick – Slight lean George Washington

St. Louis Blues vs. Calgary Flames 9:05 ET  FS-MW, SN-W
Hockey bettors placing sports picks have spoken about the two most important happenings taking place in this matchup and altered the  NHL Odds. Since Jan. 27th, Calgary is 8-3-1, which has lifted them above .500 in their building. However, St. Louis is a NHL-best 11-2-1 on the road since Jan. 3 and they have been beefed up from -120 to -135 on the money line. The Flames have been on a nice little run at 6-3 since Feb. 25th, nevertheless, they have struggled all season with teams like the Blues who score three or more goals a game on average and are 1-10 facing these squads. Have to side with visitor who can score and knows how to put up W’s on the road with my NHL Picks

NHL Pick – St. Louis wins
