We don't have the biggest of slates to take advantage of tonight, but we still feel confident we'll be able to hit the mark with our two college basketball picks for Tuesday night.

Marquette Golden Eagles vs. Arizona State Sun Devils
Even though the Golden Eagles have struggled quite a bit early on this season, they're still priced out as the NCAA betting favorites for tonight's home game against Arizona State. At the moment, odds makers have Marquette favored by 3.5 points, while the O/U is trading at 130.5

The schedule hasn't been easy by any means for the Golden Eagles, but you would have expected a better record than 4-4 at this juncture.

The team's four losses have come at the hands of Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan State and then little-known Omaha. The first three defeats are understandable, considering all of those opponents were ranked, but a loss to the Mavericks seems a bit strange.

That being said, Marquette now gets a four-game stretch in which they'll be at home, and they'll look to pile up some wins ahead of conference play. Matt Carlino, a transfer from BYU, leads the team with 13.8 points per game.

Arizona State has enjoyed a better start, going 6-3 through their first nine games. Their three losses have come against Maryland, Alabama and Texas A&M, with the Sun Devils' best win coming against UNLV. Gerry Blakes, Eric Jacobsen and Shaquielle McKissic have been the top three guys for Arizona State, with Jacobsen averaging 11.7 PPG, 8.0 RPG and 2.0 BPG. He's been a great presence inside.

Tonight's game should be well-contested throughout, but ultimately we see Marquette earning a win and covering the small number in the process. Carlino and Anderson have been two very reliable seniors for the Golden Eagles and we look for them to set the tone inside the the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Back Marquette as your NCAA basketball pick to win by four or more.

Oklahoma Sooners vs. Oral Roberts Golden Eagles
Well look what we have here: more Golden Eagles!

This time it's Oral Roberts, who will face a very tough assignment against a potent Oklahoma team this evening. The NCAA basketball odds, as you'd expect, are very much in the Sooners' favor, with the home team priced out as 16.5-point favorites. The total is at 140.5 points for now, but there's still time for the lines to shift.

Oklahoma is 6-2 on the year with losses to Creighton and Wisconsin. The Sooners have, however, already logged some nice wins, having beaten Butler, UCLA and Missouri among others. Buddy Hield is averaging 16.0 PPG and 5.9 RPG on the year, while Isaiah Cousins is putting up 13.4 PPG and 6.5 RPG. TaShawn Thomas, Ryan Spangler and Jordan Woodard have all been key factors for the Sooners too.

As for the "other" Golden Eagles, they're off to an even 4-4 start, though they'll come in on the heels of two straight dominant wins. They beat New Mexico State by 23 and then overcame Missouri State 80-61 just last night. They're playing some great basketball right now, but the competition level will reach new heights this evening.

Indivudally, Oral Roberts is led by Obi Emegano and Korey Billbury. Emegano has put up averages of 16.9 PPG and 5.4 RPG, while Billbury (13.8 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 3.0 APG, 1.6 SPG) has been doing a little of everything for the team. One thing we know for sure is the Golden Eagles will need every ounce of offensive production they can get out of these two to stay close with the Sooners.

But we digress. Oklahoma's superiority on the glass and overall offensive efficiency should prove to be too much for Oral Roberts to handle. The Sooners have the firepower to simply overwhelm teams, making them an ideal candidate to back when laying this many points. We like the Sooners to take care of business as humungous favorites.
