Pennsylvania Quakers vs. Princeton Tigers

The Tigers and Quakers will meet up for the second time this season, with Princeton eager to even up the series after a surprise loss back in January.

For tonight's conference battle, the Tigers are favored by a very healthy margin, giving up 14 points at most of the sportsbook we've run over. Princeton is 19-8 SU and 11-10 ATS on the year, while Pennsylvania has struggled their way to a 8-19 SU mark to go with a 7-16-1 ATS record.

The Quakers have been decimated by injuries this season, losing the services of six different players for the rest of the year. No doubt that's played a part in their struggles.

Though they were able to win their last time out – they overcame Cornell in a 69-65 road win as four point favorites – Pennsylvania is still just 2-6 SU and 1-6-1 ATS over their previous nine contests. In that span they've lost by double digits to Columbia, Harvard and Yale.

Meanwhile, the Tigers are surging at just the right time. They've won four straight games (covering the spread in three of those victories), with the average margin of victory at 16.5 points in that span.

Not only has Princeton been the far better team defensively, allowing only 56.8 PPG on 37.3 percent shooting in their previous five, they'll also have the best player on the court in T.J. Bray. Bray has averages of 18.3 PPG, 5.1 APG and 4.7 RPG and has scored at least 21 points in three straight contests.  Look for him to tear a suspect Pennsylvania defense apart tonight.

The Quakers are just 3-8-1 ATS away from home this season and we think they'll have a tough time dealing with Princeton's superior defense tonight. It sure is a lot of points to lay, but momentum (and motivation for revenge) is on their side. We look for a big Tigers win tonight.

BYU Cougars vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs

After winning their respective semi-finals last night, Gonzaga and BYU go at it for the conference title this evening.

The college basketball betting odds have yet to be released for this final, but we assume the Bulldogs will be small favorites here.

In two head-to-head meetings this season, we've seen a split, with each team winning at home both straight up and against the spread. Gonzaga won 84-69 in the first battle, but BYU got their revenge with a 73-65 win in February.

The Bulldogs got here by beating Santa Clara by two in the quarter-finals and St. Mary's by 16 in last night's semi-final. The Cougars took care of Loyola Marymount with ease (85-74), but had to fight for their lives in a 79-77 win over San Francisco in the semi-final.

Both teams are playing good basketball right now, so it's tough to gauge where we should go with our sports picks. The Bulldogs have the better record and have been more efficient defensively, but the Cougars have more quality wins to their name and have one of the most explosive offenses in the country.

In the end though, we believe backing Gonzaga is the way to go. This is a well-balanced Bulldogs team that has a good deal of experience out there, and their effectiveness on the defensive end could very well push this one in their favor.

With that said, we're recommending siding with the Bulldogs for our college basketball picks here in the WCC final.
