If you are looking at placing a big bet on the NFL for championship weekend let’s start by building our bankrolls with the huge Saturday college basketball betting card. Some old standby’s and new faces are featured in this week’s totals picks from our expert handicapper.

2015-16 NCAAB Record: 18-13-2, +3.70 Units

Portland Pilots vs Gonzaga Bulldogs

I’ve had great luck tailing Gonzaga’s recent ATS winning streak, and the Overs have also hit at a 7-3 clip in their last ten games. Saturday night is the first game of consecutive home-and-home matchups with the Portland Pilots. This one happens to be at the Kennel, where Gonzaga has flourished on offense this year averaging 89.2 points per game.

With the pace Portland likes to play at, we could see Gonzaga reach 90 points in this game. Such was the case last year, where the Bulldogs put up 92 points on 50.8% shooting from the floor against the Pilots in March. It’s hard to believe that if they repeated that performance this year their shooting percentage average would actually go down.

With Gonzaga listed as a heavy 28.5-point favorite look to them to score at will here. And with the total listed at just 145, Portland will only need to put up around 60 points to get this well Over the mark. The Over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.

Arizona Wildcats vs UCLA Bruins

This should be a fun game to watch with UCLA’s top scoring offense going up against one of the best defenses in the country in Arizona. That defense could scare over bettors, but when taking out neutral site road games Arizona is cashing at a 3-1 rate for the Over on the road. Arizona is a perfect 4-0 SU and ATS in that situation too, so look for them to be competitive in this spot and be willing to run with UCLA if the Bruins press the pace. The Underdog is 10-1 ATS in the last 11 games between these two teams.

Over trends abound with these two teams as well. The Over is 7-2 in the last 9 conference games for Arizona and 3-0-1 for UCLA. I just can’t back the Under in a game involving a UCLA team that has surpassed 100 points seven times already this season, so I’m taking Over 159.5 as one of my Saturday college basketball picks.

Pepperdine Waves vs Saint Mary's Gaels

Pepperdine is awful this year on the road and has put up a 1-10 SU record in that situation. For this game, they travel to St. Mary’s, who has an opposite 10-1 SU record at home. When I look at that I know that the Gaels will dominate the pace of play, and if that happens this game will go well under this listed total.

St. Mary’s has allowed an average of 57.4 points per game on the year in the conference. Those numbers would be even better if they didn’t allow 79 points to Gonzaga on the road. There are no outliers in St. Mary’s defensive prowess at home either. The Gaels allowed more than 60 points just twice in the last ten games, and this poor Pepperdine offense is not the team that will buck that trend. The slow pace will keep St. Mary’s in check from breaking 80 and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 70-53 type gameplay out.
