Which two games should be targeting when placing our college basketball picks? There are two teams that we really like tonight.

South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Missouri Tigers
Don't get it confused. The Tigers may have had a good football season, but their basketball program has really struggled here in the 2014/15 season.

Right now, you can find Missouri at 7-16 overall, with a 1-9 conference record. It's been a disaster of a debut season for Kim Anderson, as the Tigers have clearly been the worst team in the entire SEC. Tonight they will travel to take on South Carolina, with the college basketball odds showing the Gamecocks favored by 10.5 points.

And, we think South Carolina represents good value in this spot. The Gamecocks haven't been all that good in their own right, but they've been much more competitive overall at 11-11 for the season. They've picked up some good wins here and there, beating Iowa State in a shocking win and also taking care of the likes of Georgia, Alabama and Clemson. South Carolina is led by Sindarius Thornwell in scoring, but really the Gamecocks have a lot of balance and aren't very reliant on any one or two players in particular.

Tonight, at home and needing a win badly, we look for the Gamecocks to take out their frustration on the worst team in the conference. As we mentioned, South Carolina hasn't been killing it, but this just goes to show you how little faith we have in Missouri at this point. The Tigers are losing badly each and every time they take the court.

With that frame of thought in mind, we're taking the Gamecocks to win and win big. It's a lot of points to lay, but we feel good about fading Missouri in this situation. South Carolina should be able to take care of business in a "battle" between two of the weaker teams in the SEC.

Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Wisconsin Badgers
If you didn't know, the Badgers are on quite a roll, having won six consecutive games. It's been a great stretch of play for Bo Ryan's team, who now sit at 21-2 overall and 9-1 in the conference, which by the way is good for the top spot. Wisconsins has been one of the strongest teams out there and will look for a seventh consecutive victory on the road against Nebraska this evening.

When we look at the odds, we see that odds makers still have a lot of faith in the Badgers to get the job done, even in the face of what's sure to be a rowdy Cornhusker-filled crowd.

Nebraska's overall results though have left a lot to be desired. The Corhnhuskers are 13-10 overall and are all the way down in 10th place in the conference standings. Recent performances haven't been very encouraging at all, as Nebraska has lost three of four, with defeats to Michigan, Minnesota and Penn State. Tonight they will lean on Terran Petteway, who averages 18.7 points per game, as well as Shavon Shields, who's putting up 15.9 PPG and 6.4 RPG.

We think this is going to be tough sledding for the less talented Cornhuskers, however, and that's why we're picking Wisconsin to win by at least eight on the road. With so many guys that can hurt you, namely Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker, the Badgers should be able to out-execute their opponents, and they also have plenty of experience both out on the court and on the sidelines with Bo Ryan. Some may be scared away by a pretty high line on a road team in a conference matchup, but we expect talent to trump all here. Back the Badgers with your college basketball picks.
