While some of you might sweep the slate of NFL Playoff games, I'm sorry to say that there will be bettors chasing loses. We have a couple of good matchups in college basketball tonight which will re-energize you and put some money back in your pockets.

California Bears vs. UCLA Bruins

Must Win For UCLA?
Interconference play has a way of putting records into perspective as teams can't hide behind their early season cupcake schedules.

UCLA is coming off of a much needed 86-81 victory over Stanford and a win here against Cal could possibly get their season back on track. The Bruins had lost 5 straight games until the win over the Cardinal stopped the bleeding, so think about it when looking over the NCAA basketball odds. Although Cal is coming off of 2 consecutive losses, they have the better record and better resume with 2 wins over top 25 teams this season, therefore, the pressure is on the Bruins tonight.

After going 0-10 from the field against Utah, UCLA leading scorer, Bryce Alford came back against Stanford with a 15 point performance on 3 of 6 shooting from beyond the arc. Needless to say, Alford can ill-afford to force up shots. One player to watch in this game is freshman Kevin Looney. He's coming off of a monster 27 point, 19 rebound performance against Stanford. Although Looney is a double-double guy, he had been invisible during the losing streak. If he has his confidence in order, UCLA will have a much better chance of winning tonight.

Cal has 4 major sources of offense led by leading scorer Tyrone Wallace.Wallace has been shooting very poorly from the field lately, but his production is undeniable. He's averaging 19.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 4.1 assists. He's a player that's going to draw many fouls and UCLA will need to contain him to a degree or this could spell doom for UCLA and their season.

Wisconsin Badgers vs. Rutgers Scarlett Knights

The Luxury of Being Part Of the Big Ten
Even though Rutgers has no reason geographically speaking of being in the Big-Ten Confernce, they get the luxury of playing top level teams such as Wisconsin. While that might be a thrill for the fans in their home gymnasium, it will definitely hurt their overall record as they're simply not in the class of a Wisconsin. The Badgers come into tonight's game on the road as a 16 point betting favorite.

Wisconsin is still one of the best defensive teams in the nation, allowing a mere 54.1 points per game, but this is a much more offensive-driven Wisconsin team than teams in the past decade that won solely off of their defense.

Frank Kaminsky
This is a player that's played on all of the great Wisconsin teams and now in his senior season, is ready for a shot at the National Title. Kaminsky has NBA size with NBA talent. He's a consistent contributor, averaging 16.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game. He's coming off of a 21 point effort against Purdue and his numbers will only increase as he see's more playing time against higher level competition. Look for a huge game out of Kaminsky against Rutgers.

This is a really bad matchup for Rutgers. Not only do they face a team with a top level defense, offense is their weakness. The Scarlett Knights are averaging 58.3 points per game while shooting 38.1 % from the field. Leading scorer, Myles Mack, is getting a taste of inter-conference play and is a averging 9 points on 33.3% from the field. Rutgers will be in trouble in this game, so make Wisconsin your NCAA basketball pick.
